What do you think of the name Camellia?

Floral name; I believe it’s pronounced Cuh - mell - lee - uh.

I love this name! It’s close to the classic [name_u]Camille[/name_u]/Camilla, but softer thanks to the floral reference. I also like the NN [name_f]Lia[/name_f].

I also love it! I think it’s a great alternative to [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

Camellia is so bright and pretty

Smart and gorgeous!

I like it! [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] is fresh and underused.

I love this name, but the common pronunciation rhymes with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f].

I know a [name_f]Camellia[/name_f], actually, which has (sadly!) ruined its appeal. I wish I could love it but I just think of her invariably. I do think it’s so gorgeous, though, and a fun, floral, frillier form of [name_u]Camille[/name_u]/Camila.

I quite like it! I prefer [name_u]Camille[/name_u] and [name_f]Camilla[/name_f], but that’s just a personal taste thing— [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] is also quite nice and totally usable!

Have had a “name crush” on [name_f]Camellia[/name_f], off and on. Not sure about the way it sounds so much like “chameleon”.

There used to be a beautiful [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] tree in my garden. I had started a tradition of taking the kids’ picture in front of the lovely tree, when our house almost burned down in the local wildfires of last year. Sadly, the tree’s leaves were burnt and it went without being watered (or rained on much) for close to a month. I am almost certain that the tree is dead, but am still holding out the tiniest bit of hope that it will survive. Would be a lovely, symbolic name, especially if it were to rally.

I prefer [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]. I would pronounce it as:

Gorgeous though I loathe [name_f]Cammie[/name_f].
