What do you think of the name Cirilla - nickname 'Ciri'?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all!

I heard the name [name_f]Cirilla[/name_f] the other day, with the nickname of [name_f]Ciri[/name_f], pronounced ‘[name_f]Siri[/name_f]’ and I’ve fallen a bit in love with it! I’ve never heard anyone with that name so it’s very unique but I don’t want it to be ‘weird’ and I’d hate for my child to be bullied.

My partner mentioned about how it sounds like the iPhone voice, and that people may pronounce it like ‘Kir-ee’. I know he’s right about both of them, but what do you think?

Full name:
First name- [name_f]Cirilla[/name_f]
Middle - [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
Last name - [name_m]Braxton[/name_m]

Thank you ”

It honestly seems kind of too much, and I agree with your husband
[name_f]Priscilla[/name_f] maybe? It’s not my style but your partner might prefer it
There are also other names with the nickname siri if thats what you like about it

What about [name_f]Cira[/name_f]? That could shorten to [name_f]Ciri[/name_f] (maybe just with family). [name_f]Cira[/name_f] is unique, but a little more approachable in my opinion. [name_f]Cira[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is pretty and feminine, without being too much. Good luck!

I quite like it and don’t see how it’s any different to [name_f]Priscilla[/name_f]. I can’t imagine a [name_f]Cirilla[/name_f] being bullied.

I like the sound, but not the spelling. Sirella, Serilla, Serella or Cyrilla look much nicer to me.
Please don’t shorten it to [name_f]Siri[/name_f]/[name_f]Ciri[/name_f] though, I can’t imagine that working well. You could go with [name_u]Riley[/name_u], [name_u]Rylie[/name_u] or [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as a NN? Or Si/Cy?

I personally like it, I’m familiar with it from fiction but never met a person with the name. And while the nickname does “sound” like the iphone, it isn’t spelled like it, and it’s a nickname not the full name, so I don’t consider it a problem. It’s unique but not crazy, in my opinion.
