It would be [name_f]Laura[/name_f] [name_m]Doyle[/name_m].
It’s a lovely name I’m considering it too, the one thing that makes me hesitate is that there were 12 in my year at school and on any given day, I can easily come across two or three, it’s very common where I am. Yes it’s classic and pretty.
I think it’s a beautiful name.
I adore the name [name_f]Laura[/name_f]! I think it’s classic, beautiful and very fresh feeling in my opinion! I was very close friends with a [name_f]Laura[/name_f] growing up but she’s the only one I’ve ever really met, and the name sat at #56 when I was born, so it was still relatively popular.
I love the name [name_f]Laura[/name_f]! I think it’s classic, elegant, and spunky.
[name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name. A classic.
I’ve known a lot of Lauras, both in my generation and in my students. To me, it’s like [name_f]Christina[/name_f], in that it will never go out of style.
[name_u]Leslie[/name_u]
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it. Classic name yet not as common on a baby right now which makes it a great choice.
I think it’s simply gorgeous!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Classic and versatile and not overused at the moment.
I know most people see it as a classic, but I know a lot of [name_f]Laura[/name_f]'s (not to mention the [name_f]Lauren[/name_f]'s) my age, so I personally find it a bit dated and bland. But I don’t have severe negative feelings towards it, just a passive feeling of “eh”
I have many good associations with it. I’d love to see it used more.
It’s long been a favourite of mine. I think the combo with your surname is great.
I’m a [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and I love my name.
I know so many too, it’s the one thing that makes me hesitate, it’s so so common here, I keep wondering about [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] as a variation?
I totally agree with this
It’s not my style as I find it a bit bland, and I also have unpleasant personal associations, but it’s not a bad name.
I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Laura[/name_f]! It’s such an elegant, underused classic.
I’m on the “underused classic” side too! I know a [name_f]Laura[/name_f] who is 15 and one who’s 67 so I think it works great on any age.
I have to agree with some of the others who say it feels a bit dated. I know quite a few people named [name_f]Laura[/name_f], and while it’s not a bad name, I just find it a little bland and boring. That said, I don’t know ANY babies named [name_f]Laura[/name_f], so I suppose it fresh in that respect?
[name_u]Love[/name_u] your thought of using [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] in its place. That’s a name I had considered for baby #3- I think it’s strong, feminine, fresh- and still sounds classic.
I actually really love [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] as a replacement for [name_f]Laura[/name_f], it has more spunk and glamour from my point of view. In addition, the victory association gives it a nice positive feel.
