I dont like it because of how popular it is bu it does have a sweet sound
i prefer maya pronounced mah-ja or mah-ya

I love the short, sweet, spunky [name_f]Mia[/name_f]. I pronounce it mee-ə. Have it on my list.

It used to be a name I didn’t like. Spanish is my mother tongue, and [name_f]Mia[/name_f] means “mine” in spanish, so it sounds too “posesive” to me. But now is growing on me. I like how short and sweet it is. But still, I prefer it as a nickname of [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]. Anyway, I do think it can work as a proper name.

It’s very overused where I live, on both humans and furry friends, so I don’t care for it, unfortunately.
