Thoughts on the name [name]Petra[/name]?
Oh I love it! But sadly, it makes me think of petrol or petroleum so it’s kind of a gp for me. I had a doll I called [name]Cleopatra[/name] when I was little & I called her Patra & [name]Patsy[/name]. So cute!
Like it a lot!
[name]Petra[/name] is wonderful. I instantly think of [name]Petra[/name] Nemcova, the model who survived the 2004 Thailand tsunami by clinging to the top of a palm tree for 8 hours. (She created the [name]Happy[/name] Hearts Fund to aid victims of the tsunami, so she’s charitable to boot.) And the meaning is so solid - “rock.” The ciy of the same name in [name]Jordan[/name] is famous.
I think it’s a great name. Sounds strong and powerful.
I quite like it. I don’t like that it reminds me of petrified though.
But the name itself is lovely.
Too clunky for me. But it’s got history and is sort of dignified for the positives.
I was a dinosaur nut when I was 10 and loved the name because it reminded me of the pterodactyl. LOL
Oddly enough, I still love the name.
I love it, it sounds graceful without being ultra-flowery. It’s rather like [name]Nina[/name] to me - vaguely European but not difficult, feminine but not over-dressed. [name]Petra[/name] maybe sounds a little stronger than [name]Nina[/name], but isn’t butch.
[name]Lovely[/name] name. Nn options would be Pera and [name]Patsy[/name].
It rocks! (hehehe) I’m just not brave enough to use it on my own kid.
[name]Love[/name] it! fresh and pretty. [name]One[/name] of my favourite feminization name ever.
I automatically think of the extremely cool archaeological site in [name]Jordan[/name]. I think that’s awesome. I don’t like the way the name sounds, so I couldn’t use it myself, but I’d probably high-five a kid for having that name.
I love it! I find it fresh and interesting.
I knew a girl named [name]Petra[/name] in college. She made it seem very sexy for lack of a better word.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Petra[/name]. I know a gorgeous little [name]Petra[/name]. I also know a [name]Pia[/name].
I like the idea of a feminine equivalent of [name]Peter[/name], but I’m afraid I don’t much like [name]Petra[/name].
It was my name of the month a while back… i’ve gone off it a bit.
Ugh, not so much.
Sorry
[name]How[/name] would you pronounce it? I’ve heard Peh-tra and Pay-tra
