What Do You Think Of The Name Pollyanna?

I kinda like the name Pollyanna Vita & would love your thoughts about it. I think if we ever have a girl, we will go with a name that ends with an “A” since mine & my step daughters names end with an “A”. If we ever have a boy, I think we will do another name that begins with “Ju” (Julius) or just a name that starts with a “J” (Jasper) or ends with an “N” since my son’s name is Justin.

The top girls names on our list that end with an “A” are:

  1. Vita Pauline/Polly
  2. Gianna Carmen
  3. Clara Vita (Fiancé doesnt really like this name, but I like it.)
  4. Matilda Vita (Love this name, but one of my fiancé’s daughters names starts with an “M”. We don’t see her at all though.)
  5. Laila Raine (Pronounced as Lay-luh)
  6. Aviana Carmen
  7. Aiyana Vita (Pronounced as Eye-awn-uh)

We removed Stella & Cora from our list because they are kinda popular now a days.

Heh, I was just thinking about [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f].:sunflower: I think it’s wonderful! Buuut, I wouldn’t use it. It lives in the same world with [name_f]Rapunzel[/name_f], [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], Goldielocks, [name_f]Mary[/name_f] Poppins and [name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_u]Red[/name_u] Riding Hood. Recently a top politician was called ‘Pollyanna’ in my country, because of her ridiculously positive political ideas that would change the country. Yeees, we had an election time, it was intense .
[name_f]Polly[/name_f] alone is absolutely 1000% usable and lovely in my opinion.

[name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] is pretty cute and sparky! I do prefer [name_f]Vita[/name_f] [name_f]Polly[/name_f] or [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u]

It’s okay, not my favorite. When I read it, I just think of polyamorous. I like [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] and [name_f]Vita[/name_f] better.

I actually love [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] :dress:

I think [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] is gorgeous! Flamboyant, feminine, graceful, fun, has a touch of glamour along with this nostalgic 1950s cloudy lemonade imagery. I think [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] is lovely. I think [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f] is super fun and vibrant.

I also like [name_f]Vita[/name_f] [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f] + [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f]!

I’m not sure about [name_f]Pollyanna[/name_f] given that it’s used as an adjective to mean overly optimistic and saccharine. It’s just so tied to the character and usually perjorative.

I like [name_f]Vita[/name_f] Pauline/Polly, [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f] and [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f].

You could do [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] [name_f]Vita[/name_f] nn [name_f]Polly[/name_f]?

[name_f]My[/name_f] fiancé has a cousin named [name_f]Paulina[/name_f], so we can’t use that as a first name.

Not something I’d use personally because I knew a girl with this name growing up and she wasn’t my cup of tea, shall we say. She went by [name_f]Polly[/name_f] as she got older. But it’s usable.

Of your names, I really like [name_f]Gianna[/name_f] [name_u]Raine[/name_u] and [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] as combos. I love [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] too but think it may sound better with a middle that doesn’t end in a similar sound - [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Raine[/name_u], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] or [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Polly[/name_f] perhaps? And I wouldn’t let the M name put you off unless it’s very similar sounding.

Thank you! I like [name_f]Gianna[/name_f] [name_u]Raine[/name_u], [name_f]Gianna[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u], & [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u]. I really like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Carmen[/name_u] & [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Raine[/name_u] of your suggestions. I even like [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f] as well.
