What do you think of the name Tru?

As a first or middle name, what are your thoughts?

I was thinking about the combinations:
[name]Lisle[/name] [name]Tru[/name]
[name]Tru[/name] [name]Stellan[/name]
[name]Tru[/name] [name]Rupert[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name] [name]Tru[/name]
[name]Tru[/name] [name]Lennox[/name]
[name]Jacoby[/name] [name]Tru[/name]
[name]Ezra[/name] [name]Tru[/name]

And my favorite: [name]Raul[/name] [name]Tru[/name]

It feels incomplete to me. [name]Tru[/name], to me, feels more like it ought to be a nickname of [name]Truman[/name] or something. If you really want to use it as a standalone, I’d put the e on the end to make it [name]True[/name]. [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Tru/name is my favourite of your combinations.

I love the name but prefer [name]True[/name], boy or girl. I see [name]Tru[/name] as just a nickname; it’s incomplete for a standalone

I wouldn’t do [name]Tru[/name] on its own. What about [name]Truman[/name] or Truitt?

Thanks for the replies!

I do quite like Truitt! Thanks for the suggestion.

I love [name]True[/name] (this spelling), but prefer it as a nn for Truett, personally. As your combos are, [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Tru[/name] is my favorite, but I would love to meet a Truett [name]Ezra[/name]!

I think I prefer it as [name]True[/name]. Or [name]Truth[/name]. [name]Ezra[/name] [name]Truth[/name] would be great. [name]Raul[/name] [name]Tru[/name] sounds like “my stories are all true.” [name]Raoul[/name] perhaps?
[name]Troy[/name] could be cool, evocative of the Iliad.

I have a friend named [name]Tru[/name] spelled with an i on the end.

He wore his name well, I liked it, we would affectionately call him “tru tree” because he was talllllllll and lanky.
I like [name]Tru[/name] [name]Lennox[/name] on your list.
