Do you like the nickname Theo? I just re-watched The Haunting of Hill House and needless to say, I became obsessed with the name and the character all over again
What are some sister/sibling names that would go well with Theodora?
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is definitely usable. I like it OK, but the dora part I am not crazy about. I prefer [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Dosia[/name_f] and Dot) and [name_f]Althea[/name_f] and [name_f]Theda[/name_f]. I am crazy about the combo of [name_f]Theda[/name_f] [name_f]Undine[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] goes well with other similarly multi-syllabic names of a similar weight.
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Gertrude[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Marjorie[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Stockard[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Desdemona[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Griselda[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Marilla[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Quintana[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] and [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] “Theo,” especially with other feminine names like masculine nicknames like
[name_f]Philippa[/name_f] “Pip”
[name_f]Francesca[/name_f] “Frankie”
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f] “George”
[name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] “Billie”

[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is such a beautiful name so elegant, warm and inviting with a lovely vintage flair. She’s beautiful with a range of wonderful nicknames that can suit lots of personalities [name_u]Theo[/name_u] being a sweet tomboy alternative to the frilly [name_f]Thea[/name_f]. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] is gorgeous!
i think it’s definitely usable! i do prefer theodosia or dorothy, but theodora is nice.
i used to really like the nickname theo, but now it’s sort of lost its sparkle for me. i still think it’s adorable for others, though!
for sisters, i like:
theodora and lucienne
theodora and augusta
theodora and louise
theodora and mabel
theodora and henriette
theodora and philippa
theodora and abigail
theodora and agatha
theodora and calliope
theodora and winifred
I want to love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] so badly, and I love love love [name_u]Theo[/name_u] (as a nn and a full one)! Sadly, I have an innate dislike of the “dor” part of any name (Dorothy, [name_f]Doris[/name_f], anything with [name_f]Dora[/name_f], etc) so I’m not a huge fan. However, I’d say it’s definitely usable, especially with [name_u]Theo[/name_u] as a nn!
I prefer [name_f]Thea[/name_f] or [name_f]Theodosia[/name_f] unfortunately. I also like [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], but can’t seem to get behind [name_f]Theodora[/name_f]. It feels a bit clunky.
theodora is completely usable, and i think it’s just beautiful !! i named my cat theodora margot isabella, and would love to see theodora used on a human little one !!
i love the nickname theo for a girl; it’s just so charming.
I love [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] “Theo”. So many great sibset suggestions, too. The first names that came to mind for me were [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] and [name_u]Sylvester[/name_u] … maybe [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] for [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] and [name_m]Sy[/name_m] for [name_u]Sylvester[/name_u]?
