What do you think of these clunky old man names?

What do you think of these? [name_f]Do[/name_f] these remind you of any other names that would fit this list?

[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]

[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m]

[name_m]Roland[/name_m]

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]

[name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] / [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m]

[name_m]Augustus[/name_m]

[name_m]Aloysius[/name_m]

I think they’re cool and interesting. I’d add [name_m]Walter[/name_m], [name_m]Clarence[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] to the list.

[name_u]Love[/name_u]-
[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u]
[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] (especially with nn [name_m]Monty[/name_m])
[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]
[name_m]Augustus[/name_m]

Like-[name_m]Balthasar[/name_m]

Dislike-
[name_m]Aloysius[/name_m]
[name_m]Roland[/name_m]

I’d love to meet some little kiddos with these names!

Other names that fit…
[name_m]Llewellyn[/name_m] <3
Barnabas
Eugene
Humphrey
Bartholomew
Cornelius
Barnaby

I quite like all the names on this list though they would be bold choices for an actual child.

Other names:
[name_m]Bertram[/name_m]
[name_m]Alistair[/name_m]
[name_m]Reginald[/name_m]
[name_m]Alaric[/name_m]
[name_m]Eustace[/name_m]
[name_m]Roderick[/name_m]

I like [name_u]Willoughby[/name_u], [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m], [name_m]Balthasar[/name_m], and [name_m]Augustus[/name_m]!

[name_m]Amadeus[/name_m], [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_m]Benedict[/name_m], [name_m]Solomon[/name_m], [name_m]Barnaby[/name_m], [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m], [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] and [name_m]Theodoric[/name_m] came to mind

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] and [name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] are smashing.

My grandfather’s name is [name_m]Roland[/name_m] and we call him Roly. I think it would be adorable on a little boy!

[name_u]Willoughby[/name_u] - I’ve never really thought about this one as a name, which is strange because I really like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] for a boy. I know you described it as clunky, but I actually think it also has a really nice sound!

[name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] - I really like this. Very distinguished and [name_m]Monty[/name_m] for short is cute as well.

[name_m]Roland[/name_m] - I like it.

[name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]! One of my personal favourites. I think it sounds very handsome and has a distinctive sound not often heard in boys’ names.

[name_m]Balthazar[/name_m] - This is a very heavy name but I love it! I think it’s quirky and interesting, and again has quite a distinctive sound. The z spelling adds an extra zing to it, whereas the s spelling gives it a little more softness.

[name_m]Augustus[/name_m] - I personally prefer just [name_u]August[/name_u], but I think [name_m]Augustus[/name_m] is definitely wearable and even quite cool. I like [name_u]Gus[/name_u] as a short form too.

[name_m]Aloysius[/name_m] - I really enjoy the look of this name, but I can never quite work out exactly how to pronounce it. (Aloyseeus or Aloyshus?) I like both pronounciations though.

I would suggest [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m], [name_m]Jedidiah[/name_m], [name_m]Arnold[/name_m], [name_m]Conrad[/name_m], [name_m]Digby[/name_m] and [name_m]Percival[/name_m].

I love [name_u]Sidney[/name_u]! I met a toddler named [name_u]Sidney[/name_u] [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] a while ago and thought it was an awesome, awesome name. I’d also like to add the name [name_m]Alonso[/name_m] ([name_u]Lonnie[/name_u]) and [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] to the list. Two of my favorite old man names.
