[name]Matilda[/name] [name]June[/name] – [name]Love[/name] each name separately, but not loving them together. It feels a bit clunky to me. Taking another middle name from your list, I think [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Faye[/name] comes off the tongue MUCH easier when said aloud. [name]June[/name] would be gorgeous as a first name in its on right.
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] – I’ve never understood the name [name]Imogen[/name]; something about it looks and sounds harsh and choppy to me. But [name]Hazel[/name] is beautiful, and makes me think of desserts. It’s a very sweet name–sweet in the culinary sense. You may like it paired with [name]Cordelia[/name], which to me looks like a fancy, fine-chocolate-type name. I also would like [name]Vivienne[/name] with it, which is on your list. In fact, [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Hazel[/name] looks PERFECT to me.
[name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Faye[/name] – See above. I like these two names together too, but I prefer [name]Vivienne[/name] with [name]Hazel[/name]. You may also like: [name]Vienna[/name], [name]Viviana[/name].
[name]Flora[/name] [name]Odele[/name] – I like this! I like the repeating O sound, and I like that the combo is short and sweet. I think [name]Flora[/name] looks MUCH nicer than [name]Florence[/name] but has the same feel (and is short enough that she wouldn’t get called [name]Flo[/name]). I once met a spunky one-year-old girl named [name]Florrie[/name], which you may also like.
[name]Olive[/name] [name]Emmeline[/name] – [name]Olive[/name] looks too similar to the popular [name]Olivia[/name] to appeal to me, but the sounds of this combo work well. The syllable counts and the L’s in each name work great together. You may also like [name]Olivet[/name] or [name]Olivette[/name]. Also, my great grandma’s middle name was Emmerett, pronounced like emma-RETT; you may like that as well.
[name]Rena[/name] [name]Magdalene[/name] – I think [name]Rena[/name] is really cute.
I love names that sound nicknamey. I’m unsure of how to say [name]Magdalene[/name]; is the last E pronounced? You may like [name]Rena[/name] [name]Magnolia[/name].
[name]Mavis[/name] [name]Juliette[/name] – Oooo…[name]Mavis[/name] is such a great name! So glad to see that someone is considering it. I love [name]Juliette[/name] as well, but I don’t feel like these names go well together. [name]Mavis[/name] is vintage and reminds me of antique treasures in dusty attics, while [name]Juliette[/name] is lacy and
princessy. [name]Mavis[/name] [name]Jeanette[/name]? [name]Mavis[/name] [name]Emmaline[/name]? [name]Mavis[/name] [name]Octavia[/name]? Those pairs look a bit better to me, as all would have that “grandma’s attic” feel.
[name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Elodie[/name] – I like this, particularly [name]Genevieve[/name]. You may also like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Eloise[/name].
[name]Octavia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] – Sweet! I also like [name]Pearl[/name] as a first name, so I do hate to see it hidden in the middle, but [name]Octavia[/name] is an awesome name and [name]Pearl[/name] sounds great with it.
[name]Marlena[/name] [name]Louise[/name] – I happen to like the repeating L sound; I think it makes the combo sound musical. Keep in mind that people wouldn’t be calling her “[name]Marlena[/name] [name]Louise[/name]” all the time, so even if it is L-heavy, it would rarely even be heard all at once. [name]Marlena[/name] is sweet.
