What do you think of these combos?

My sister has decided on three potential sisters for [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Anne[/name] (No nicknames though privately me and my mum call them [name]Cathy[/name] and [name]Lizzie[/name]).

[name]Mary[/name] [name]Angelique[/name] (my grandmas are named [name]Mary[/name] nicknamed [name]May[/name] and [name]Angelique[/name])
[name]Victoria[/name] [name]Mary[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]May[/name] (A nickname for [name]Mary[/name] and my great-grandma is [name]Margaret[/name])
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name] (My mum is [name]Catherine[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name] but called [name]Rebecca[/name] and my great-grandma [name]Adele[/name] was a ballerina)
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name] (my great-aunt whom was like a grandma to me was [name]Rose[/name] and my aunt is a RosaBella)
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Karen[/name] (My aunt is [name]Karen[/name] and she is really close to us)
and [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Angel[/name] (my great-grandma is [name]Adele[/name] and my dads family were originally from [name]Adelaide[/name] and my grandma is [name]Angelique[/name])

Names she loves but I have managed to talk her out of: [name]Florence[/name] (both [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Florence[/name] have a dominant “ren” sound), [name]Alice[/name] (my best friends name who is around a lot) and [name]Eleanor[/name] ([name]Both[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] and and [name]Eleanor[/name] shorten to [name]Ellie[/name]) any others that you can think of and can these be used?

Thank you:rolleyes:

[name]Mary[/name] [name]Angelique[/name] & [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - I’m just so-so about these.
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]May[/name] - This is a tad too alliterative for my personal taste.
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name] - I like these two together, and I also think that [name]Grace[/name] is a good sibset with [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name].
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - Pretty, but might also be…not common, but a combination that is probably heard a lot.
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Karen[/name] - I love [name]Rose[/name], but I think it would be better paired with a longer middle name, while [name]Karen[/name] would do better with a longer first name, just in terms of cadence.
[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Angel[/name] - I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Adelaide[/name], but [name]Angel[/name] sounds too fluffy for my taste. [name]Adelaide[/name] is a beautiful name, but [name]Angel[/name] is kind of frivolous and not very serious. I don’t think they’re a good match together.

I know you talked her out of these, but I actually love [name]Florence[/name]…I don’t think it’s too similar to [name]Catherine[/name] at all. And I like [name]Eleanor[/name]…she could go by [name]Nell[/name] or [name]Nora[/name] which wouldn’t be too similar to [name]Ellie[/name].

[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Marie[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Anne[/name] are beautiful. Your sister has good taste. [name]Cathy[/name] and [name]Lizzie[/name] are AWFUL. I love [name]Grace[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name] though I’d prefer [name]Grace[/name] [name]Rebekah[/name]. [name]Grace[/name] has the added benefit of not being able to be shortened to some horrendous nn like [name]Cathy[/name] or [name]Lizzie[/name]. [name]Alice[/name] would fit in very nicely with [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name]-you having a friend named [name]Alice[/name] does not have anything to do with your sister using the name. Your friend is far from the only person named [name]Alice[/name] in the world.

[name]Mary[/name] [name]Angelique[/name]- [name]Love[/name] it! Classic but with a twist.
[name]Victoria[/name] [name]Mary[/name]- Gorgeous!
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]May[/name]- [name]Margaret[/name] is NMS. I think [name]Margo[/name] or [name]Rita[/name] are much prettier.
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name]- Absolutely adorable.
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name]- Very lovely. I love how [name]Grace[/name] connects to being a ballerina.
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Karen[/name]- [name]Karen[/name] doesn’t really fit in with the rest of these names. Maybe [name]Karina[/name] or [name]Kerensa[/name]?
[name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Angel[/name]- [name]Adelaide[/name] is wonderful, but I kinda like [name]Angelique[/name] or [name]Angelina[/name] better than [name]Angel[/name].

[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Mary[/name] [name]Angelique[/name] are the only ones imo that flow well, the others sound choppy.

I think [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Rose[/name] would also be good, I don’t like the choppiness of [name]Margaret[/name] [name]May[/name]

[name]Cathy[/name] always reminds me of Wuthering Heights! What beautiful names

[name]Mary[/name] [name]Angelique[/name] - I always think [name]Mary[/name] as a little bland, especially put next to [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name] [name]Mary[/name] - [name]Victoria[/name] is nice but both [name]Victoria[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] are names of british queens!
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]May[/name] - I absolutely adore [name]Margaret[/name], its so cute!
[name]Grace[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name] - I have a hatred for [name]Grace[/name] as it is so often used as a ‘filler’ name because it sounds so pretty!
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - Very very pretty but [name]Madeleine[/name] is very popular!
[name]Rose[/name] [name]Karen[/name] - I think this goes best catherine, [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Rose[/name] flows better than any of the others I think
and [name]Adelaide[/name] [name]Angel[/name] - I can’t say I care for [name]Angel[/name] at all, but I adore both [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Adele[/name]!!

All wonderful names though, your sister has great taste!!

With [name]Catherine[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] she’ll need a strong traditional name to go with the set.
I like [name]Adelaide[/name], though it might be too trendy to go well.

[name]Georgina[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Annabelle[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
