What do you think of these fictional sibsets?

Hey Berries!

I need you opinions on the sibsets.

[name]Patrick[/name] and [name]Stephania[/name] [name]Donahue[/name]. (Irish and Italian)

[name]Carlo[/name] [name]Donahue[/name]: 20 yrs
[name]Katarina[/name] nn [name]Kat[/name] [name]Donahue[/name]: 18 yrs
[name]Dante[/name] [name]Donahue[/name]: 16 yrs.
[name]Tara[/name] [name]Donahue[/name]: 14 1/2 yrs.
[name]Sinead[/name] [name]Donahue[/name] 14 1/2 yrs (twin to [name]Tara[/name])

[name]Sinead[/name] is the odd one of the family. She has her dad’s red hair, but all the other have brown/black, like their mother. [name]Patrick[/name] and [name]Stefania[/name] weren’t able to look after her when she was born, so she was adopted by the family’s best friends: the [name]Copper[/name] family. But the [name]Copper[/name] family doesn’t treat [name]Sinead[/name] very well.

[name]Richard[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] Cummins. ([name]Both[/name] British, but [name]Richard[/name] is blonde and [name]Scarlett[/name] is…yes, a redhead.)

[name]Ezekiel[/name] nn [name]Zeke[/name] [name]Copper[/name]: 20 yrs
[name]Alyson[/name] nn [name]Lyssa[/name] [name]Copper[/name]: 18 yrs
[name]Bella[/name] [name]Copper[/name]: 17 yrs
[name]Maxwell[/name] nn [name]Max[/name] [name]Copper[/name]: 15 1/2 yrs

Along the story line, [name]Sinead[/name] moves to a boarding school and meets the Cummins. Their mom is practically a modern hippie, hence the names.

Mother is [name]Zadie[/name] Cummins, originally [name]Sadie[/name], but she changed it. Her husband died when her youngest was 5.

[name]Marigold[/name] nn [name]Goldie[/name] ([name]Mary[/name]) Cummins: [name]Marigold[/name] is an accountant and HATES her name. She’s always had the nn [name]Goldie[/name], but she hate it as well. So, she never goes by her full name, she just goes but [name]Mary[/name]. 22 yrs.

[name]Sunday[/name] nn [name]Sunny[/name] Cummins: A girl who had the blackest hair, but bleached it snow blonde. 19 yrs.

[name]Ginger[/name] nn [name]Gerry[/name] Cummins: Surprisingly, she isn’t a redhead. But when she was born, she had the reddest hair. It eventually faded to blonde. She is a tomboy and strictly goes by [name]Gerry[/name]. 17 yrs.

[name]Storm[/name] Cummins: She was meant to be a boy, but she was the opposite. Her name describes her completely, dark and depressed. 15 yrs.

So, that’s pretty much everything. What do you think??

Odd names for some of them, but over all, I like them a lot, so thumbs up from me, a fellow writer as well

The thing thats confusing me though, is how the families are arranged and how they’re connected. I understood the Donahues’, but after that I was lost (forgive me lol).

Oh, sorry, the other families are REALLY hard to explain. :stuck_out_tongue:

Um…here goes!!

[name]Sinead[/name] (main person) was adopted into the [name]Copper[/name] family when she was three days old. The [name]Donahue[/name] parents weren’t able to look after her. But they never told [name]Tara[/name] or [name]Sinead[/name] that they were split.

[name]Richard[/name] and [name]Scarlett[/name] [name]Copper[/name] have been best friends with the Donahues since they were in college.

Eventually in the story, someone unfortunately dies (boohoo) and [name]Sinead[/name] gets told the big secret. She wants to forget her past life and move on, so she goes to a boarding school, and that’s where she meets the Cummins.

That was actually pretty easy to explain, but its hard when its all in your head.

Some of the names are a bit all over the place from a cultural perspective.

I see that for the [name]Donahue[/name]'s, you’ve been influenced by their Italian and Irish parents, but as the letter ‘k’ is excluded from the Italian alphabet (I assumed you were going for Italian with this name), I think it would make more sense to change [name]Katarina[/name]'s name to [name]Catarina[/name]. Also, the fact that half the names are of one origin and half of another confuses me and makes the family seem a bit detached, which works in [name]Sinead[/name]'s case, but not for [name]Tara[/name].

The Coppers are all fine, except [name]Ezekiel[/name], which I personally love, but feels out of place amongst the other, more common names of his siblings. The Cummins family’s names are all very cute and perfect choices for their mother’s personality.

Sorry to be a bother. [name]Hope[/name] this has been helpful and good luck!
