Finally me and my partner has found some names that we both like and are considering for our little boy. I’m just wondering if you have any input on these names, and I’m also open to more suggestions.
Things we consider when we look at names:
the meaning, it has to be a positive meaning of characteristics and preferably not names meaning animals, flowers, cities, colors etc.
we’re a mixed-culture family, scandinavian+south east asia, so we’re looking for names that can fit in both cultures. (for example a western name + a sanskrit name, arabic is also of some interest)
Our favourite name so far is: [name_m]Noam[/name_m] [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m].
But we’re also thinking about [name_m]Karim[/name_m] and [name_u]Eden[/name_u] for first name (second, [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m])
I also like [name_m]Noam[/name_m] [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] the best. I would steer clear of [name_u]Eden[/name_u] - it’s definitely seen as a girl’s name only nowadays.
I would also just like to say that I love the name [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]. Maybe consider it as a first?
I like [name_m]Noam[/name_m] [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] too. Only not sure about the repeated long O’s, but handsome. As far as meaning goes, i like [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], [name_m]Felix[/name_m], [name_m]Isaac[/name_m], [name_m]Emrys[/name_m], [name_m]Evander[/name_m], [name_m]Amias[/name_m], [name_m]Amos[/name_m], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m]… Some of which work with [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]. I also like [name_m]Karim[/name_m], but I agree [name_u]Eden[/name_u] seems to be strongly feminine-leaning. Maybe [name_m]Eben[/name_m] or [name_m]Oren[/name_m]? Good luck!
I also thought [name_u]Eden[/name_u] was a feminine name, but my husband insists its a boys name because some soccer player.
We’re still thinking and also asked the family for more suggestions. I also like [name_m]Malik[/name_m], [name_m]Malik[/name_m] [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] or [name_m]Noam[/name_m] [name_m]Malik[/name_m]. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] was also one of my favourites, but not the husband.
Well, I named my son [name_m]Noam[/name_m], so obviously I think it’s perfect [name_m]Noam[/name_m] [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] is a good combo.
I wouldn’t use [name_u]Eden[/name_u] or [name_m]Karim[/name_m]. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Eben[/name_m]?
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Karim[/name_m] & [name_u]Eden[/name_u]. I don’t care for [name_m]Noam[/name_m] but I like [name_m]Naim[/name_m].
[name_u]Eden[/name_u] is a unisex name that ranks in the Top 1000 for both genders but it’s higher for girls. The soccer player pronounces his name ‘[name_m]ED[/name_m]-in’ (like [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] without the W). I’ve also heard it as ‘AY-den’.
