[name]Fiona[/name]- I really like this one, I feel like its talked about a lot but never used! I adore it.
[name]Bridget[/name]- I feel like this one is a bit 90s. I want to love it but I just can’t!
[name]Eleanor[/name]- [name]Love[/name] this, it’s a classic and you can’t go wrong with it. I love the nickname [name]Nell[/name] or [name]Nora[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name]- I feel like this isn’t even a name. It just seems made up
[name]Adair[/name]- [name]Way[/name] too masculine to me
[name]Norah[/name]- I prefer [name]Norah[/name] without a -h.
[name]Mila[/name]- A bit unsubstantial to me
[name]Lucille[/name]- I’d rather see [name]Lucy[/name] used on its own
[name]Salma[/name]/[name]Selma[/name]- Reminds me on [name]Salmon[/name] or Salmonella
[name]Teresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name]- I really hate [name]Tessa[/name], it’s just SO boring
[name]Dorothy[/name]- I like [name]Dorothea[/name] so then you can call her [name]Thea[/name] and [name]Dot[/name]!
[name]Ramona[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name]- I picture it on a manly woman
[name]Beatrix[/name]- I think the X gives it a lot of spunk. It’s cute!
[name]Catriona[/name]- This ones interesting. I’ve never seen it used so its refreshing. I think it’s really lovely.
[name]Callista[/name]- Not my favorite. I like [name]Calla[/name] better.
[name]Annika[/name]- Pretty but it’s lacking a certain sparkle.
[name]Florence[/name]/[name]Flora[/name]- I [name]LOVE[/name] this! [name]Flora[/name] is beautiful. It’s so flowery and just…ugh! I’m sure you understand
Niahm- Being Irish, I appreciate this name but you might have some pronunciation issues depending on where you live.
My favorite is definitely [name]Florence[/name] nn [name]Flora[/name]!
LOVE:
Fiona: I imagine a very cute, spunky, sunny-faced little girl
Eleanor: sounds very intelligent and grown up. Will look great on a resume and college app. Nicknames Elle, Ellie and Lea will be cute as a child
Callista: I like Callista. It’s unique but not weird; pretty but not frilly; grown up but not stodgy. It also has a great meaning
Tessa: I LOVE Tessa! Everytime I say Tessa aloud it sound like it should be the name of my own daughter… It just “feels” right. I like it as a stand alone first (I will get to Teresa later). It also spells asset backwards which is cool.
Not bad but not great:
Mila
Lucille
Ramona nn Romy: I think Ramona has what it takes to be a popular name. Not sure why it’s not already
Beatrix: very cool as a middle
Catriona
Annika: I think this name also has what it takes to be a popular name
Florence/Flora: Only cool because of Florence+The Machine
Niahm
I don’t like because…
Teresa: When I hear Teresa all I can think of is the horrible woman (I use that term loosely) on Real Housewives of New Jersey lol That aside, Teresa isn’t a bad name, but seems VERY dated. I think it will come back in popularity in 10 to 20 years
Bridget: rhymes with midget. Not that there’s anything wrong with being a little person, but I can see this being easy teasing material for a shorter girl
Eleanora: That “a” on the end just ruins it because…
Norah: I HATE NORAH!!! I have never liked this name. All I can think is “Norah Borah, she’s a snoreUH.” I imagine a Norah being a dowdy, mousy librarian
Adair
Salma/Selma
Dorothy: I don’t know where to begin… It’s just… Not good lol Old, stale, moldy all come to mind
Im so happy to see some much positive feedback for [name]Ramona[/name]! The more I think about it the more I love it! I just picture a smart, funny, spunky little girl!
Not many seem to like [name]Teresa[/name] or [name]Selma[/name]/salma so those may come OFF my list… and maybe we will reserve [name]ADAIR[/name] as a mn as it does has quite a bit of family signifigance…
Thanks also for mn suggestions but we will be using family names in the middle… ( i will do a post on those eventually when i come up with a sold top 5-10)
Anyone else want to weigh in? Any [name]NEW[/name] suggestions?
I think they are all vile, what are you thinking?!!?!?11!?!1?!eleven?!?!
Haha, purely joking!
The ones I love: [name]Bridget[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Mila[/name]
The ones I’m fond of: [name]Lucille[/name], [name]Selma[/name], [name]Teresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Annika[/name]
The ones I do not like: [name]Adair[/name], [name]Fiona[/name], [name]Catriona[/name]
The rest aren’t particularly striking my fancy. Niahm is a bit confusing in the sense that I don’t know how to pronounce it!
I really love the ideas of [name]Bridget[/name] and [name]Teresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name]. [name]Adair[/name] can be pretty in the middle but not as a first, all I hear is “A dare”
Also, ones that you may like:
[name]Mina[/name] (she’s the best friend of a [name]Fiona[/name] at our daycare)
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Nola[/name]
[name]Marnie[/name]
[name]Marilyn[/name]

[name]Bridget[/name] - I don’t think this is as dated as some of the previous posters; it’s nms but I don’t mind it
[name]Eleanor[/name] - prefer [name]Eleanora[/name]
[name]Eleanora[/name] - like this, with [name]Nora[/name] as a possible nn.
[name]Adair[/name] - no - seems masculine or like a hair-care product
[name]Norah[/name] - I should like this name, as it fits my typical style, but for some reason I’ve never been partial to it; seems a bit weak to me (I like [name]Nora[/name] as a nn to [name]Eleanora[/name] though - I know: it’s contradictory)
[name]Mila[/name] - ok
[name]Lucille[/name] - ok; [name]Lucy[/name] is a great nn but gaining in popularity
[name]Salma[/name]/[name]Selma[/name] - no
[name]Teresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name] - like these
[name]Dorothy[/name] - not ready for this yet
[name]Ramona[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name] - really like [name]Ramona[/name]
[name]Beatrix[/name] - love this too
[name]Catriona[/name] - seems harsh to me
[name]Callista[/name] - [name]Love[/name]
[name]Annika[/name] - like but it’s a bit more “foreign” - not sure if that fits with your cultural identity
[name]Florence[/name]/[name]Flora[/name] - love
[name]Niamh[/name] - love, but I have a dear friend with this name

[name]Fiona[/name] - [name]Just[/name] okay but only as a second name.
[name]Bridget[/name] - I love it! It’s beautiful and has a nice meaning.
[name]Eleanor[/name]/a - I find this name rather unattractive and dull.
[name]Adair[/name] - I don’t like it.
[name]Norah[/name] - [name]Just[/name] fine. I find it a little hipster.
[name]Mila[/name] - I find it more suitable as a nickname.
[name]Lucille[/name] - Really nice. Classy and vintage. I like it as a second name.
[name]Selma[/name] - I find it unconventional and feisty. I also like [name]Zelda[/name].
[name]Teresa[/name] nn [name]Tessa[/name] - Not a fan. Sounds like an ‘old lady’ name.
[name]Dorothy[/name] - I guess this is okay but not usable for me.
[name]Ramona[/name] nn [name]Romy[/name] - I like it especially the nickname [name]Romy[/name]!
[name]Beatrix[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it! I don’t like [name]Beatrice[/name] but [name]Beatrix[/name] is really beautiful.
[name]Catriona[/name] - Nice variation to [name]Catrina[/name] but it is basically pronounced the same.
[name]Callista[/name] - Another favorite! Elegant and uncommon.
[name]Annika[/name] - I used to love this name a lot. I still like it though.
[name]Florence[/name]/[name]Flora[/name] - Like [name]Florence[/name], dislike [name]Flora[/name].
Niahm - It will probably grow on me.
