Okay… So I’ve been thinking about boy names lately. What do y’all think about these names:
[name]Rhett[/name]- I like how its short and distinctly masculine. I like the Gone With The Wind reference.
[name]Ambrose[/name]- I think it sounds so handsome, but do you think its girlish?
[name]Andrius[/name]- This is the Lithuanian version of [name]Andrew[/name]. I found it in a book and I really like it. WDYT
Any suggestions or middle names? I really like the combo [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Ambrose[/name] right now. I don’t have any combos for [name]Andrius[/name] though. [name]How[/name] do you think they go with the names in my signature? Sibsets?
Thanks for your help!
I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Rhett[/name]. [name]Ambrose[/name] sounds feminine to me (maybe the rose part?). [name]Andrius[/name] isn’t my style, but it’s cool. I like [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Andrius[/name].
I think [name]Rhett[/name] is so handsome, it could work as a stand alone name, or as a nickname for [name]Everett[/name].
I think [name]Ambrose[/name] LOOKS feminine spelled out (almost looks like a smush of [name]Amber[/name] and [name]Rose[/name]) but when it is spoken, it doesn’t sound feminine.
[name]Andrew[/name] is a name I really love, I’m not entirely keen on [name]Andrius[/name]. I could be pronouncing it wrong, but the way I pronounce the first syllable reminds me of [name]Andrea[/name].
[name]Rhett[/name] [name]Ambrose[/name] is an awesome name (I like [name]Everett[/name] NN [name]Rhett[/name] even more though). I don’t really find [name]Ambrose[/name] girlish, but I do see why people think it would be, which is one of the reasons I think it works best as a MN. I do think the formal feeling of [name]Ambrose[/name] helps make the casual [name]Rhett[/name] (which I usually associate as a nickname) feel more grounded as a full name.
[name]Andrius[/name] I don’t like too much, sounds like “[name]Andrea[/name]'s” to my ear.
[name]Rhett[/name] [name]Ambrose[/name] is lovely! I think [name]Ambrose[/name] is a bit on the feminine side (it sort of seems to combine [name]Amber[/name] and [name]Rose[/name]), but I think it works well as a MN and can be quite handsome in the right combo. Besides, I am much more in love with [name]Ambrosia[/name] on a girl–I can’t imagine a girl being [name]Ambrose[/name]! I have to agree with the pp–my heart lies with [name]Everett[/name] (personally, I wouldn’t even use [name]Rhett[/name] as a nn for that–I’d use Ev or the name in full), but I love hearing [name]Rhett[/name] for someone else’s child.
As for [name]Andrius[/name], I much prefer the original [name]Andrew[/name]–it’s more classic and soft. I would imagine meeting an [name]Andrius[/name] in The Matrix or something, haha. It might make a cool mn, though–like [name]Seth[/name] [name]Andrius[/name]?
Good luck!
I love [name]Rhett[/name] and I like the combo [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Ambrose[/name]. I like it as a brother to [name]Gregory[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Henry[/name], [name]Helena[/name], [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Willa[/name].
I love [name]Rhett[/name]!
I love [name]Ambrose[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name] is nice. I really like your combo [name]Rhett[/name] [name]Ambrose[/name]. I don’t care for [name]Andrius[/name] at all, though. I prefer [name]Andre[/name], [name]Anders[/name], or [name]Andreas[/name].
