You have to find a name that both you and your partner love. So of those 4 I’d go with [name]Nathan[/name] - if he’s really not a fan of [name]Everett[/name], [name]Reid[/name] or [name]Dean[/name] I think you should take them off your list. I actually really like [name]Connor[/name] from HIS list.

Thanks for your input! Any thoughts on non-Irish not super common but “non fussy” sounding names? We are so far apart on this I don’t know how we will both be satisfied. Like I said, [name]Nathan[/name] is simply a compromise- I’m not sure I want to pick a name just because we don’t both hate it, you know?

I totally understand why you don’t want to settle, but if you do end up using it I think [name]Nathan[/name] is a great name!

There’s nothing wrong with [name]Nathan[/name], but if you don’t love it, try to find something else you both like.
[name]Nathaniel[/name]? [name]Daniel[/name]? I voted for [name]Dean[/name]. What about [name]Dane[/name] or Dade? [name]Vaughn[/name]?

I’ll say [name]Everett[/name] [name]Murray[/name] because it’s my top boy combo right now. I’m using [name]Murray[/name] to honour my mom’s Irish family :slight_smile:

I’m sorry but I don’t like the 2-2 pattern of [name]Nathan[/name] [name]Murray[/name], and the similar syllable pattern.
If you really like [name]Nathan[/name], what about [name]Nathaniel[/name] [name]Murray[/name]?

I love [name]Vaughn[/name]!!! I also like [name]Van[/name]. Sadly they are both too out there for the dad. This is so frustrating! I kind of feel like I’m the one going through the pregnancy so I should get more weight in the decision!

[name]Everett[/name] is nice but I like [name]Emmett[/name] more. I don’t mind [name]Nathan[/name]. I do like [name]Nathaniel[/name]. If you like [name]Nick[/name] as much as [name]Nate[/name], [name]Dominic[/name] or [name]Nicholas[/name] might be options.

I really like all the names on your list! I love all the suggestions you have received as well. I would cross off all names either of you don’t love.

I really, really, really like [name]Everett[/name] [name]Murray[/name]! Too bad he’s not terribly excited about it. I agree with what a lot of the others are saying–you shouldn’t agree to a name just because you both don’t hate it ([name]Nathan[/name]), but I don’t really think it’s fair that he gets no say, either ([name]Everett[/name], and the others).

What about something like:
