- [name_u]Declan[/name_u] … it’s the closest name to my son
Declan - Nice name, it feels very familiar - not tranditional, but trendy for a long time. Not boring or anything, but more expected than your other 3 choices, I suppose. I don’t love the nicknames, sadly, so though it’s handsome it’s probably my least favourite.
Theodore ‘Theo’ - A really charming vintage name, although it’s a bit too popular for my tastes!
Rory - My favourite on the list - friendly, spirited, and fun!
Silas - A nice classic with a lovely sound. Nn Si is quite cool as well.
Located in Greece & the UK!
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
Good names, I like them all.
I love them all. They’re so sturdy and beautiful! They all feel so warm and loving. Such excellent names. I’d name my son [name_u]Declan[/name_u], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] in a heartbeat. (Rory is a little nickname-y sounding for my personal taste, but it’s still so objectively lovely.
I’m located in the western USA!
rory is my personal favorite
i live on the east coast of the us!
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]!
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]! Im in [name_u]New[/name_u] [name_u]Zealand[/name_u]
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]! Rugged, charming, sweet and lovely! (I’m in the UK)
I’d choose [name_m]Silas[/name_m], then [name_u]Theo[/name_u] or [name_m]Theon[/name_m] as a full name I’m afraid I’m in the minority and don’t like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]! I’m in [name_u]England[/name_u]
I chose [name_u]Rory[/name_u] for my son! I had a few of these on our list, too. It was my favorite name from the start, and it worked for the style my husband and I could agree on for boys, which I jokingly call “Celtic cowboy”. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] has a long history of use (which is important to me), but also sounds warm, friendly, and like the boy next door. Maybe a bit mischievous. And our son is all of these things!
We are in the US Midwest.
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] is my favourite (even though I prefer it as a nn for [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (fem)) and I also like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] (I’m in the UK).
I would choose [name_m]Silas[/name_m] and from . [name_f]Virginia[/name_f] . I’m not too private about the state I’m in
I’m from the U.K. And I’d choose [name_u]Rory[/name_u]!
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is sadly over-popular here, [name_m]Silas[/name_m] feels very specifically American to me (it’s #91 in the US but #736 here!), and [name_u]Declan[/name_u] feels 90s/00s dated.
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] is soft and rugged at the same time, I imagine a cheeky kid with twinkling eyes, always up for adventure.
I would personally choose [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. It’s very cute, but also has this strength in it that I love. I adore the nickname [name_u]Theo[/name_u]!
[name_u]Declan[/name_u] comes second, I’ve always loved this one since I was little. I love the sound of it, it is very pleasing to both hear and say.
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] is third, but not by a lot. This one seems soft but tough at the same time, and I think of a cute curly dark haired baby boy. 🫶🏼
With [name_u]Rory[/name_u], it’s the only one on the list I can say I don’t like very much.
I’m located in Australia
Xx
I like [name_u]Declan[/name_u] best, just appeals to me most. I’m in the NE United States.
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]!
I’m not really sure why I like it, I guess it just sounds nice lol. And I love the nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u]! (Maybe because I had an adorable little [name_u]Theo[/name_u] in my nature camp last spring …)
They are all lovely
However my favourite is [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]!
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is gorgeous such a handsome name he feels cuddly, wholesome and has a range of adorable nicknames. I love the meaning ‘gift of G-d’ and how timeless he is just such a wonderful name.
