We have been seriously redoing our list because we just cant seem to agree on names! (its easy with your first two children and then you name your third only to find out you are having twins and have to come up with a first and middle name for both genders!)
please could you give me some opinions on these names:
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Henrietta[/name]
[name]Maude[/name]
[name]Enid[/name]
[name]Roberta[/name]
which ones would you pair with [name]Elijah[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name]?
thank you xxxx
My favorite is for sure [name]Henrietta[/name], and I think it’d sound pretty awesome with [name]Elijah[/name] & [name]Sybil[/name]. I think my runner-up is [name]Edith[/name], though it seems maybe a little too close to [name]Elijah[/name]?
I’m not into [name]Maude[/name], [name]Enid[/name], or [name]Roberta[/name], though I know [name]Maude[/name] / [name]Maud[/name] in particular has its fans. I can sort of see the charm, but it’s very, very fusty too me, and I feel like it needs to be paired with something bright and fresh (maybe a little “exotic,” even) in order to have any real appeal. Like, I had the combo [name]Indira[/name] [name]Maud[/name] for a while; I could dig it in that context. [name]Enid[/name] sounds very flat and round to me, and [name]Roberta[/name] is kind of irredeemably cat-ladyish. My dad is [name]Robert[/name], and for some reason on which I’m not entirely clear, he likes to use his middle initial (A) all the time. This has resulted in us receiving lots of mail addressed to “[name]Roberta[/name],” and I just…can’t help wrinkling my nose a little every time I see it.
[name]Edith[/name] is my favorite of your list! I think it pairs wonderfully with [name]Elijah[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name]!
I lovelovelove [name]Edith[/name] right now. I think the nn [name]Edie[/name] is adorable, and [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Sybil[/name], and [name]Edith[/name] are quite lovely together.
[name]Henrietta[/name] and [name]Maude[/name] are lovely, too, though. I love the nns [name]Hattie[/name] and [name]Etta[/name] for [name]Henrietta[/name].
