What do you think of this combination?

Thoughts on the name [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f]? Thanks!

I slightly prefer [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f], but it’s a very lovely combination.

It is a lovely combination. It sounds so [name_m]French[/name_m], and that makes it international.

It’s pretty.

I agree [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] maybe works a little better but either way its honestly lovely

Thanks to everyone who responded so far!

I’ve read about the varying syllable rule and both [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] both have two syllables (as with our last name). [name_f]Do[/name_f] you know that’s a problem?

While I prefer the flow of names when the syllables vary, I will adamantly say this is not an absolute rule. I like both sophie [name_f]Celine[/name_f] and sophia celine. Both are gorgeous.
One other thing I will mention - that if you name her sophia you can still call her sophie.

I like the flow of multiple syllables, but [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is just right [name_f]IMO[/name_f].

There were nearly 30,000 babies named [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]/[name_f]Sofia[/name_f] in 2015, and barely 3,000 named [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] is a legitimate and beautiful name, and I don’t see any reason to name her [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] just to call her [name_f]Sophie[/name_f].

[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is very lovely and the flow is nice. [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is also pretty.

Gorgeous! I love it!

The majority of Sophias that I know go by [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] about 90% of the time. There is a [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] in my class at school who has to go by [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [LastName], even though she is the only one whose full first name is [name_f]Sophie[/name_f], because there are so many Sophias who go [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]. At this point it is purely based on which name you personally prefer as either way your little [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] will still probably know a bunch of other Sophies.

@kmdharrington - ahhh that’s what I was hoping to avoid. I like the name [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] better than [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] but I was also hoping to avoid having a million others with the same name by choosing [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] as well but it doesn’t sound like that’s possible

Besides for [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f], does anyone have any other middle name ideas for [name_f]Sophie[/name_f]? Others that I am thinking of are [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Francesca[/name_f] and [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] but open to anything! Would like to avoid a common / filter middle name due to the popularity of [name_f]Sophie[/name_f].

I agree with pp that [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] sounds better. [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Celine[/name_f] is pretty, but I’m not sure I like that they end with the same vowel sound.
