I meant to add that Ellie May would probably just be a pet name for us, her sibs, and the grandparents. She would mostly go by Eloise, as I love the name too much to let it be forever lost to a nickname.

I’m not the hugest [name]Ellie[/name] (or [name]May[/name]) fan, tbh, but I do really love the full name and can appreciate the nn. I would do [name]Ella[/name] [name]May[/name] or [name]Lola[/name] [name]May[/name], personally, or just [name]Ella[/name] or [name]Lola[/name], but [name]Ellie[/name] [name]May[/name] is cute.

I can see the appeal of [name]Ellie[/name] [name]May[/name]. It’s certainly a cute and familiar nickname. I just can’t imagine someone with a name as charming as [name]Eloise[/name] wanting to shorten it all the time. So I vote for [name]Eloise[/name] most of the time and [name]Ellie[/name] [name]May[/name] once in a while. I like [name]Lou[/name] too, if you want to go really country with it.
This name also reminds me of [name]Louisa[/name] [name]May[/name] [name]Alcott[/name], who wrote [name]Little[/name] Women. Sweet!

That’s almost the exact name that we agreed on! Well [name]Eloise[/name] [name]Mae[/name] I love the nms [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Lou[/name], and [name]Lulu[/name]. I posed this questions the other day too because of the [name]Beverly[/name] Hillibillies reference, but I think unless you’re familiar with the show, most people won’t associate the two things.
