Hello so my fiance and I have picked [name]Holly[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] for our little girl. [name]Holly[/name] is his favorite name and [name]Scarlett[/name] is mine. Some people say it doesn’t flow but to us it does. We want more opinions on the name, what do you think?
It’s too much nature/description for me. [name]Holly[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] would work, but not [name]Holly[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name].
Agreeing with Ms [name]Maple[/name]. Two word-names -feels too literal to me. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Holly[/name]? Celyn means holly in Welsh. Pronounced with a hard-C I assume. Celyn [name]Ruby[/name]? or Celyn [name]Garnet[/name]? You could nickname her [name]Holly[/name], but she’d have a less literal full name.
I like it as is.
I think it’s okay. I really like [name]Holly[/name] and the middle name is really very rarely used. The flow is okay, but not amazing.
When people say the “flow” is off, they mean that with both names being 2-syllables long it can seem a bit boring. It usually works well to have non-matching syllable counts such as [name]Holly[/name] [name]Mae[/name] or [name]Holly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], but at the end of the day that is just a preference so as long as your last name isn’t also 2-syllables it can work just fine.
I don’t think it sounds bad, but it is a little too descriptive for me since both of them are word names. I just picture red berries, more than I picture a little girl. They are both nice names seperately though. [name]Holly[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] might work a bit better or perhaps another middle name to seperate them a bit, as in [name]Holly[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name]? Let us know if you want any suggestions, and good luck! =]
I wouldn’t worry about flow, or that both names are two syllables, or that it is two word names together. If you love it, then go for it. I love the name [name]Holly[/name], and [name]Scarlett[/name] is lovely as well!
I think it’s fine the way it is. [name]Holly[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] is a beautiful name. I personally adore the name [name]Holly[/name], and generally speaking people call your child by their first and last name, not first, middle and last, so flow it’s as big of a deal.
I think it works fine! I think people would reconsider the flow issue with a last name attached, but I think [name]Holly[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] is a pretty name and a great way to combine both favorite names!
