What do you think of this name? And advice needed please :)

so, as my username suggests, my name is really very weird. I grew up being teased about it constantly and of course, I’ve grown up hating it. My mom is very eccentric ad I’m doubting whether she was drunk when she named me lol. Anyways, my name is Manam (pronounced: muhn(the first syllable of [name_f]Manila[/name_f] + num (the first syllable of number) and it means ‘to dream’ which my mom likes to argue translates to ‘someone who dreams’ in a name. Anyways, I want to change my name officially (legal documents and everything) but since I don’t want to hurt my mom, I’d like to keep it as my middle name. Now I want your opinions on different combinations. By the way, my last name is Waye

I think the meaning is beautiful. You could easily go by a nickname, without changing it officially. Mana, [name_m]Mani[/name_m], [name_f]Ana[/name_f], [name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_f]Minnie[/name_f]… However if you want ideas for a first name with Manam as a middle, you’d have to give some idea as to what kinds of names you like.

Manam is really pretty name.

Suggestons:
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] Manam
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] Manam
[name_f]Gabrielle[/name_f] Manam
[name_f]Serena[/name_f] Manam
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] Manam
[name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] Manam.

[name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f] Manam? [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] means “[name_u]Dream[/name_u]” so maybe it would be a nice way to keep the meaning your mother liked? I changed the spelling cause you are looking for an easier option

Does [name_f]Mandy[/name_f] appeal to you? If you like that, or if you go by that now, [name_f]Amanda[/name_f] or [name_f]Amandine[/name_f] might work? Maybe [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]?

[name_f]Maya[/name_f] means ‘illusion’, and it’s both a) beautiful; b) easy to spell/pronounce; c) similar to your first name; and d) a similar meaning. I think it’s gorgeous! I also like [name_f]Alice[/name_f], which has connotations of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] in Wonderland (who had a fantastic dream! :p)

I like Manam, it’s quite sweet, actually. I’m sorry you got teased about it growing up! I had a strange name, too.

As previous posters have said, I like the idea of using a nickname if you aren’t fond of it. I think [name_f]Minnie[/name_f] is pretty intuitive. Or [name_f]Mimi[/name_f]. To suggest replacement firsts, we’d need some idea of your style!

Aw thanks so much! And to help you guys help me, I’d say I’m pretty girly - think pink, taylor swift, romance novels lol. I’ve always loved really feminine and elegant names (if that makes any sense). Like, Gracelynne (my eldest cousin’s name). I think its the prettiest name ever and with our last name, it has a very nice ring to it (Gracelynne Waye) but I don’t think we need two Gracelynne’s in our family

It seems you like elegant, trendy, girly names; so WDYT of:
[name_f]Serenity[/name_f] Manam Waye ([name_f]Serenity[/name_f] Waye)
[name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] Manam Waye ([name_f]Adrienne[/name_f] [name_m]Way[/name_m])
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Manam Waye ([name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Waye)
[name_f]Katelyn[/name_f] Manam Waye ([name_f]Katelyn[/name_f] Waye)
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] Manam Waye ([name_u]Everly[/name_u] Waye)
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] Manam Waye ([name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] Waye)

Best of luck!
