Alright so I am a teenberry with a love for names and my favorite lists have always been a bit out there, and one day long ago I thought of the name [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] for a boy. I can’t find much information on it here and the description surely isn’t helping. Aside from the Anglo-[name_m]Saxon[/name_m] sort of thing, can anyone actually see this on a person? Is this a usable name?
I knew a boy called [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] when I was little. It was unusual but usable then, and it would probably be quite trendy now amongst the Paxtons, Braxons, Axtons and Jaxons of the world.
One reply on my first thread started here suggested [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] as a replacement to my mother’s maiden name (my grandfather is Transylvanian [name_m]Saxon[/name_m])… It actually really rubbed me the wrong way. [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] isn’t really a name to me. [name_m]Saxony[/name_m] seems more usable, the way that [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] seems more usable than Irish.
[name_m]Saxony[/name_m] would be kind of neat for a girl… Maybe? Eh?
[name_m]Saxon[/name_m] doesn’t do it for me, but I do see the appeal with how it’s constructed, similar to [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] or [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], etc.
I worked with a guy called [name_m]Saxon[/name_m]- he would be 20 now. I think it’s a very usable name and he often got compliments on his name from many customers of all ages, it has a modern feel to it and it’s heard of but not popular. Plus I couldn’t imagine having many issues with pronounciation with it
[name_m]Saxony[/name_m] is a nice alternative but too me it’s too tied with the clothing store- at least here in Aus
My son was going to be [name_m]Saxon[/name_m] for ages until we came up with [name_m]Zeke[/name_m]. I really like it, but for some reason it wasn’t quite right. I have met a female [name_m]Saxony[/name_m]… she was pretty cool.
I think it’s totally usable! It has the trendy letter x and the -on ending that is popular now!
I don’t see why it wouldn’t be usable. It’s got that trendy look and feel.
Cool name
I remember seeing a film where a police dog was called [name_m]Saxon[/name_m]
