This used to be on my guilty pleasure list and now I’m starting to reconsider and actually use it, but I have some qualms about it. I don’t mind the meaning nor the nicknames. But…
Is it a little weird? Odd sounding? Does it sound like an old lady name? Does it sound too hippie? Would it be weird to pair the name with a greek goddess name?
[name_f]Pandora[/name_f] is lovely and I think it’d work well with the increasingly unusual choices parents are making these days.
Sound wise, it reminds me of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]/[name_f]Theodora[/name_f] - admittedly it’s not very similar to other popular names, with regard to its sound.
Considering you’re already querying whether or not it’s “a little wierd” on it’s own, I’d perhaps opt instead for at least a more well-known sounding Greek goddess name.
I’ve recently begun to absolutely love this name and I’m glad I’m not the only one!! I think you should go for it. [name_m]Don[/name_m]'t feel guilty… it’s gorgeous!
Such a cool name imo! I love the nn Panda! It would definitely be on my list, if i didnt dislike [name_f]Dora[/name_f] in general. I associate it with the jewelry. I wouldn’t pair it with an greek goddess name though.
I like it. Unusual but not weird in my mind. I often find made up and smooshed together names weird but not this from mythology. It has a lovely strength, and I do love P names.
