I would spell it [name_f]Gen[/name_f]. Jyn might be pronounced as jine.

If I had an [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], I would use [name_f]Ginny[/name_f] as her “formal” nickname (that would be written down, etc.) and Jyn/[name_f]Gin[/name_f] as more of a pet name. I think Jyn totally makes sense as a nickname for [name_f]Imogen[/name_f], but the spelling is a bit of a challenge, isn’t it?

I think it’s fine and makes sense, although I’d probably spell it [name_f]Gen[/name_f].

I think it would work, but the intuitive spelling will be [name_f]Jin[/name_f]/[name_f]Gin[/name_f] (which would have unfortunate connections to the liquor).
