What do you think of this Semi-hypothetical sib-set :)

Ok so we’re currently only expecting baby number two, but it’s fun to dream of names for all the children we might have. So what would you think if you met this sib-set? Coralie is our first child, all other names are being considered for this baby that’s on the way.

  1. [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
  2. [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
  3. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
  4. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
  5. [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]

P.S. [name_f]Serena[/name_f], [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_u]Dane[/name_u] are also on the list. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think any of those would fit in better?

I feel like [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] are too similar…syllable and vowel wise. I would replace [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] with [name_f]Serena[/name_f]. Also, [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] are very similar and I like the latter better. I think it flows better with the sibset as a whole and will age better. Otherwise, great list.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] them all except [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]. It already feels dated to me.

@trina14 Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I never thought of [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] as too similar. To me they start with a different sound, and have a different ending. I like that they both have three syllables, but I don’t know… Anyone else think they’re too similar for sisters? I also think the nicknames [name_f]Cora[/name_f] and [name_f]Annie[/name_f] would be so cute!
I’m with you on slightly preferring [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] over [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], mainly because I like the nn [name_m]Ben[/name_m].

@boyandgirl I’ve only ever heard of one [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] and she is about 3 or 4, so to me the name still feels fresh. But maybe it’s been in regular use more than I realized.

I think the first three sound lovely together. After that the last two just don’t seem to be placed right.

I think it’s lovely, very well matched although I think [name_f]Emiliana[/name_f] would fit better than eliana

Great names though, love [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] with those more elaborate girls name, it works really well for me

I think all of the names work really well together for sibs!

  1. [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
  2. [name_m]Griffin[/name_m]
  3. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]
  4. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
  5. [name_f]Eliana[/name_f]
    P.S. [name_f]Serena[/name_f], [name_f]Arielle[/name_f], [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] and [name_u]Dane[/name_u] are also on the list

It’s funny that other berries think [name_f]Coralie[/name_f] and [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] are too similar, b/c I was thinking [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] were too similar for sisters since their syllables are reversed.

From your list, I would pick [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Serena[/name_f] and [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] (a very nautical theme) and [name_u]Dane[/name_u], [name_m]Griffin[/name_m], and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m].

First of all, I love all of the names. I think they go together well, although I’m not too good at matching names. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_m]Bennett[/name_m] could be switched if you like one more than the other, they’re obviously very similar and one doesn’t go any better than the other. I like [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] a lot, but I also like [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] so to me, you could switch those out if you like one better than the other. With both, you get the nicknames [name_f]Ellie[/name_f]/[name_f]Ella[/name_f]/[name_f]Elle[/name_f]. I like [name_m]Griffin[/name_m] and [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]/[name_m]Bennett[/name_m] better than [name_u]Dane[/name_u] though.

I don’t think [name_f]Eliana[/name_f] fits with the first four names. I would put [name_f]Serena[/name_f] in that place.
