My mom came home from driving my teenage brother to a lawn mowing job with a list of names for me–she knows I love them! The lady he was working for has five children, six and under:
[name]Lion[/name] [name]Raphael[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Love[/name]
[name]Wolfe[/name] Guadaloupe ([name]Wolfe[/name] prn Wolfie)
Sulah [name]Peter[/name]
and
[name]Maximus[/name] [name]Paul[/name] (twins)
Their rule is that the dad names the boys and the mom names the girls. The mom loves all her kids, of course, and she loves to tell their naming stories, but she’s a little disappointed that they’ve only had one daughter so far!
They decided that [name]Lion[/name] was appropriate for a firstborn son. [name]Wolfe[/name] got his middle name because his dad has family along the Guadaloupe [name]River[/name]; and Sulah and [name]Maximus[/name] (sometimes called Sulah and Sumax, haha!) were chosen from a book or series of books their dad likes.
I like [name]Lion[/name] [name]Raphael[/name] pretty well, and [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Love[/name] is beautiful, though I’ve never been a big fan of [name]Evelyn[/name]. I think [name]Wolfe[/name] Guadaloupe is too much. At first I thought Sulah was too girly compared to his brothers, but Sulah and [name]Maximus[/name] as twins are growing on me. (And I love it that their mns are [name]Peter[/name] and [name]Paul[/name]!) I really like [name]Maximus[/name] [name]Paul[/name].
So what do you think? And does anyone know what book or books the dad was reading? I tried Googling “Sulah and [name]Maximus[/name]” and found nothing to the purpose.
