I realize [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Mildred[/name_f] is very boring compared to the others, but it’s supposed to be that way… she was named after another character and her dad nicknames her [name_f]Edie[/name_f] after she says she hates the [name_f]Edith[/name_f]
As a group they don’t flow off the tongue very easily. The first four children have more traditional middle names (closer stylistically to [name_f]Edith[/name_f]) compared to their first names. It would make more sense (to me) if her middle name was [name_f]Edith[/name_f], or if her first name was [name_f]Edith[/name_f] “[name_f]Edie[/name_f]” and her middle name was along the lines of her siblings name, like [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_u]Denali[/name_u].
At the same time, if she is named for someone, it makes more sense. There are plenty of people who don’t necessarily care about flow or sibling sets.
So, to make a long story short: the sibset is okay with context, but there could be tweaks to make it more cohesive.
I think if you’re going for a mixed sibset with a lot of personality, you got it! The only one I’m concerned about is [name_u]Kalani[/name_u]. [name_u]West[/name_u], [name_u]Ocean[/name_u], and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] all go together due to their names originally meaning something else. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is supposed to different. [name_u]Kalani[/name_u] simply doesn’t fit with the four. I think you could pull it off though if the family and characters are quirky enough. Best of luck on your story!
