What do you think of this?

I came across a girl named [name]Gidget[/name]. What do you think of this?

It reminds me of the movies and TV show called [name]Gidget[/name]. ([name]Way[/name] before my time, but I’m still familiar with them.) From what I understand, [name]Gidget[/name] was created as a blend of the words “girl” and “midget.” I’m more of a [name]Bridget[/name] person, but if I met a little [name]Gidget[/name], maybe I could better picture it as the name of a real person.

Take care!

I love [name]Bridget[/name]! But [name]Gidget[/name] makes me think of gadget.

I love the name [name]Gidget[/name]! I think of it as a more unusual and creative variation of [name]Bridget[/name]. It also has a steampunk feel to me for some reason. Now that I think of it, wasn’t [name]Gidget[/name] the name of one of the characters on the [name]Chip[/name] and [name]Dale[/name] Rescue Rangers show? At any rate, I think it’s an adorable name!

Didn’t sally field play [name]Gidget[/name] in the sixties?

yes, [name]Sally[/name] [name]Field[/name] played [name]Gidget[/name]. I just don’t see this as a real name - I would have a hard time taking a person seriously with this name, although like pp said maybe it would be easier if I ever met a [name]Gidget[/name]. It seems like a nickname to me - one of those nonsense kind of pet names that you use sometimes with your own children, or when a younger child can’t pronounce the older one’s name correctly.

[name]Gidget[/name]… Widget,Digit. I don’t like this name very much!

I love the idea of [name]Gidget[/name] as a quirky nn for [name]Bridget[/name]!

I’ve heard [name]Gidget[/name] used for [name]Bridget[/name] before.
