After looking through the most recent ‘unusual names’ post on Nameberry, my husband thinks the nickname [name]Benno[/name] would be adorable. But [name]Benjamin[/name] just seems a bit plain next to [name]Dominic[/name] in my opinion, but after looking up other [name]Ben[/name] names I came across [name]Reuben[/name]/[name]Ruben[/name] and really like it. [name]Benedict[/name] seems too old man to me and [name]Benson[/name] and [name]Bennett[/name] don’t work with our surname.
What do you think of [name]Reuben[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] J___son? And do you prefer the [name]Reuben[/name] or [name]Ruben[/name] spelling? [name]Reuben[/name] seems to be the more common spelling after looking online a bit but [name]Ruben[/name] might be a bit easier to say and spell?
I like [name]Reuben[/name] and think the nn [name]Benno[/name] is adorable (altho [name]Reuben[/name] is so handsome you may not want a nn). I think either spelling would be pronounced correctly.
I love both [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Reuben[/name] with [name]Dominic[/name]. All very handsome names [name]Reuben[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] is a lovely combo. I’d stick with the [name]Reuben[/name] spelling if I were you- it’s the most handsome imo and I think that’s how most people would assume to spell it
Hehe, I have [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Dominic[/name] paired for a future sibset :). [name]Reuben[/name] is also a great choice to pair with [name]Dominic[/name]; [name]Reuben[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] is so dashing.
I like [name]Benjamin[/name], but I think it’s a bit more common than [name]Dominic[/name] and I want to try and match his name with a brother. Common enough so most people have heard of it and will be able to spell it but not too common that I hear it everywhere. [name]Glad[/name] [name]Reuben[/name] is going down well though, and I do prefer the [name]Reuben[/name] spelling, it just looks nicer.
[name]Ruben[/name] is a Armenian name spelled like this(pronounced “roo-ben”) I suppose.
[name]Reuben[/name]/[name]Reuven[/name] is a Hebrew name. I have only know one [name]Ruben[/name], he was from Armenia and went by his full name. I don’t know any [name]Reuben[/name] but I think [name]Ben[/name] works nicely as a nickname.
And, just my 2 cents: both [name]Benjamin[/name] and [name]Dominic[/name] are classic names and neither is boring [name]IMO[/name]. To be honest, I much prefer [name]Benjamin[/name] than [name]Reuben[/name].
I’m not a fan of [name]Benjamin[/name] at all. I don’t like [name]Ben[/name], but [name]Benno[/name] is cute! And I think [name]Reuben[/name] is a perfect choice!! I’ve only ever seen it spelled [name]Ruben[/name] so I was a little surprised to learn that [name]Reuben[/name] is the more accepted spelling. I like it both ways.
