What do you think of Troy?

[name]Hi[/name] everyone,

I saw a pretty good [name]Spike[/name] [name]Lee[/name] movie last night, the little girl in it was named [name]Troy[/name] (which I thought was cute), and got me thinking of this name for a boy. (I know it’s a boy’s name).

What do you think?

The name that we have come to agree on recently is [name]Archer[/name], but [name]Troy[/name] didn’t get vetoed when I mentioned it as a possibility. Preference?

thanks!!!

I love the name [name]Troy[/name]! It is actually my 3 year old Rottweiler’s name. If I had my son first I think [name]Troy[/name] would have made it on the list. I think it is a strong underused name.

[name]Do[/name] you have a middle name set? If so, that might make a difference. If not, I think [name]Troy[/name] [name]Archer[/name] would be a great name.

Yes, the middle name has to be [name]Leo[/name] - so [name]Troy[/name] [name]Leo[/name] or [name]Archer[/name] [name]Leo[/name]…

I sort of like it, but I went to school with someone named [name]Troy[/name] who was a bit strange, and I can’t quite get away from that association. Obviously, you don’t have that problem! I think it’s a nice enough name. Very slightly dated, but not overwhelmingly so. As a combination, though, I definitely prefer [name]Archer[/name] [name]Leo[/name] to [name]Troy[/name] [name]Leo[/name]. I think it has as much better flow.

I like it a lot! I have a cousin named [name]Troy[/name] actually.

I like it. It’s underused, sporty, and masculine.

I like it! It was on our list for our second son’s name. Reminds me of the movie [name]Troy[/name] with [name]Brad[/name] [name]Pitt[/name] - so, manly, good looking, and strong

I’m not a big fan of [name]Troy[/name]…[name]Archer[/name] [name]Leo[/name] would get my vote!!!
