What do you think of

I tossed my girls list because I felt zero love for the names and felt I really wouldn’t use one for any of my future children, now just looking for opinions on some newer thoughts of mine. [name]Honesty[/name] is much appreciated! Very few of these are on my actual list yet, just musings so don’t hold back! (I’ll include a list of middle names options from Family at the bottom if anyone feels like brainstorming a few combos!) And if you think of any names I may like, please mention them! Thanks Ladies

[name]Araminta[/name]
[name]Avalon[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Corisande[/name] - ([name]Cor[/name]-riss-sand? Anyone have pron. insight?)
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Fleur[/name]/[name]Flora[/name]/[name]Florence[/name]
[name]Indira[/name] “[name]Indy[/name]”
[name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Odessa[/name] ‘[name]Dessa[/name]’
[name]Rowan[/name]/[name]Rowena[/name]
[name]Valencia[/name]

Family Names for Middles - (Not opposed to two short middle names as long as one is family, last name is 3 syllables)
[name]Jane[/name] (Honouring both [name]Janet[/name] and [name]Janice[/name])
[name]Lorna[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Irene[/name]
[name]Lynn[/name]
[name]Ellen[/name]
[name]Frances[/name]

[name]Araminta[/name] - I’m not really a fan of most made up names. The “mint” part throws me off too.
[name]Avalon[/name] - It’s ok.
[name]Beatrice[/name] - Not a favorite but it’s nice.
[name]Corisande[/name] - Not sure how to pronounce this. I actually kinda like it. The nn [name]Cori[/name] is cute.
[name]Daphne[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it!
[name]Fleur[/name]/[name]Flora[/name]/[name]Florence[/name] - [name]Don[/name]'t like it. Something about the “flo” sound turns me off.
[name]Indira[/name] “[name]Indy[/name]” - [name]Don[/name]'t really like it.
[name]Natalie[/name] - [name]Love[/name] it!
[name]Odessa[/name] ‘[name]Dessa[/name]’ - It’s ok.
[name]Rowan[/name]/[name]Rowena[/name] - Prefer [name]Rowena[/name]. [name]Rowan[/name] is a boy name [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Valencia[/name] - It’s ok. Too much of a last name for me.

Here are some combos from my two favorites:
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Lynn[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Frances[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name] [name]Irene[/name]

[name]Araminta[/name] - Not a fan. It just looks very strange and made-up to me.
[name]Avalon[/name] - I’ve really started to come around to this one. I think it needs just the right middle name to balance it out though.
[name]Beatrice[/name] - Prefer [name]Beatrix[/name] but [name]Beatrice[/name] is okay. Makes a good middle name.
[name]Corisande[/name] - ([name]Cor[/name]-riss-sand? Anyone have pron. insight?) - I’m assuming it’s pronounced [name]Cor[/name]-eh-sahnd, similar to [name]Melisande[/name]. It’s pretty, but would probably be a spelling and pronunciation nightmare.
[name]Daphne[/name] - I like [name]Daphne[/name]. It’s spunky and seems like its making a comeback.
[name]Fleur[/name]/[name]Flora[/name]/[name]Florence[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Fleur[/name] and [name]Flora[/name]. [name]Florence[/name] just sounds like an unpleasant old lady to me.
[name]Indira[/name] “[name]Indy[/name]” - [name]Love[/name] this one.
[name]Natalie[/name] - Prefer [name]Natalia[/name]. Knew a lot of Natalies growing up so it seems a bit dated to me.
[name]Odessa[/name] ‘[name]Dessa[/name]’ - [name]Love[/name] it.
[name]Rowan[/name]/[name]Rowena[/name] - [name]Rowena[/name] for sure. [name]Rowan[/name] is a boy’s name.
[name]Valencia[/name] - Too over the top. [name]Valerie[/name], [name]Valeria[/name] or even [name]Valentina[/name] would be much better.

Thanks for the insight so far!!!
[name]Pansy[/name]- You are right for [name]Corisande[/name], after further research it looks like [name]Cor[/name]-ih-sahnd is the right way to say it!
When I say [name]Florence[/name], I only think Nightingale mostly, but love [name]Fleur[/name] and [name]Flora[/name] but they seem incomplete as first names.
I am actually kind of suprised at the reception [name]Rowan[/name] is getting! I have only known girl Rowans!
Would it seem weird to use a Sanskrit name like [name]Indira[/name] for a white girl with a Ukrainian last name? I also like [name]Parvati[/name] but this thought threw me off there too!
Keep the opinions coming! Thanks again!

[name]Araminta[/name]: I love this name mainly for the nickname [name]Minty[/name]. But it is very beautiful!
[name]Avalon[/name]: Reminds me of a recent Disney movie
[name]Beatrice[/name]: Alright but NMS
[name]Corisande[/name]: It’s pronounced cor-i-sahnd and I [name]LOVE[/name] it! I was tossing around [name]Thalia[/name] [name]Corisande[/name] for a little while. I think it may be a bit much as a first name, but it’d make a great middle!
[name]Daphne[/name]: Very sweet and underused!
[name]Fleur[/name]/[name]Flora[/name]/[name]Florence[/name]: [name]Florence[/name] still sounds too old-lady for me, but it’s becoming more mainstream. Not a huge fan of [name]Fleur[/name] because it sounds like “floor” when said aloud, but [name]Flora[/name] is great!
[name]Indira[/name] “[name]Indy[/name]”: PERFECT, [name]Indira[/name] is exotic but majestic and [name]Indy[/name] is such a spunky nickname!
[name]Natalie[/name]: Nice, safe name.
[name]Odessa[/name] ‘[name]Dessa[/name]’: Not a huge fan of names beginning with O, but this one’s probably my favorite.
[name]Rowan[/name]/[name]Rowena[/name]: [name]Rowan[/name] is too gender ambiguous for me, and I don’t like the “wena” part of [name]Rowena[/name]…too much teasing potential.
[name]Valencia[/name]: Very frilly but otherwise very nice (:

[name]Irene[/name], [name]Lynn[/name], and [name]Jane[/name] are my favorite of the middle names, in that order.

Youssarian - A few things!

[name]Avalon[/name] is from a Disney movie now?! Which one? I had no idea! That potentially ruins it for me, especially if it’s a princess, I don’t want to hop on the [name]Princess[/name] name wagon.
[name]Corisande[/name] will definitely be for a first name if we use it, we’ve tossed around some nickname ideas though, we don’t like [name]Cori[/name]/[name]Andy[/name]/[name]Sandy[/name] much, but Coris (Like Chorus), [name]Rissa[/name], and [name]Ann[/name] are possibilities. Any other ideas?
That’s exactly how I feel about [name]Indira[/name], gorgeous exotic name, with a cute nn, but I’m concerned about using it. (see my last post in this thread) and I love the meaning of [name]Indira[/name].
[name]Natalie[/name] does really feel like a ‘safe’ choice to me, and will probably be a last resort, I want people to read her name and be wowed, but not in a bad way.
Gotta ask, what’s wrong with the Wena? Unless you say it wee-na, and not when-a like I do?
I love [name]Valencia[/name] despite my general distaste for frilly names because of the meaning, it’s the perfect amount of frill and strength!
Thanks for your insight!!
