I tend to like names that aren’t overly common but that aren’t made up sounding, and I’m picky about nicknames. My husband isn’t ready to discuss names yet as we are still in the first trimester but I want some honest opinions! I have a couple middle names in mind that are family names but I’m open to others. Let me know what you think of the names on my list so far and make recommendations of similar ideas! I do not like names that end in K or N due to how they sound with the last name.
Girls:
[name_f]Romilly[/name_f]-I really like this name! It’s unusual but sweet and logical. However if you’re picky about nicknames I’d be aware that this one does rather lend itself to the nicknames [name_u]Romy[/name_u] and [name_f]Millie[/name_f].
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]-Not a fan of this on a girl, it seems too masculine. Also too similar for me to lots of other names beginning with the ‘el’ sound which are popular at the moment.
[name_u]Chandler[/name_u]-No. It’s too masculine, especially as for most people the immediate reference would be [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] off Friends.
[name_f]Vera[/name_f]-A lovely classic choice, with a great meaning, and basically nickname proof too!
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f]-A lovely unexpected name, though I would worry about it being confused for [name_f]Melody[/name_f].
[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]-A great floral name, so sassy and fantastic!
Boys:
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u]-I like this on a boy. It seems classic and handsome, but not too old-fashioned or fusty.
[name_u]Murray[/name_u]-I’m not such a fan of this. I don’t hate it, but it’s totally not my style.
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m]-If I’m completely honest, I don’t really see this one as a name. It’s very firmly a place for me.
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]-[name_f]Lovely[/name_f], classic, but full of nicknames that you might want to vet before you commit to it!
My favourites are [name_f]Vera[/name_f], [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]!

I am not necessarily into the same style as you are but the “not overly common but no made up sounding” is also where I am at so let me just say you have some great choices here.
I honestly really like [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] for girls. I like all of your girl names except [name_f]Elodie[/name_f]. [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] and [name_u]Chandler[/name_u] are my favorites
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] is super popular with everyone I know right now (I live in the upper Midwest). So I would not personally use it. [name_u]Murray[/name_u] is one of my favorite boys names and I don’t really understand why it’s not as popular as [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], not that I would use if it were. [name_u]Murray[/name_u] and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] are my favorite of your boys names but [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] isn’t bad either.

I really like [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] and [name_f]Zinnia[/name_f] for the girls and [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] for the boys! The only one I really don’t like are [name_u]Murray[/name_u] and [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. [name_u]Murray[/name_u] because 1) I never know quite how to pronounce it 2) It is stuck as an “old man” in my mind. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], as a pp said, seems to be catching on and gaining popularity quite fast.
As far as suggestions, [name_f]Romilly[/name_f] made me think of [name_u]Romany[/name_u] and [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]. A few more that are inspired by yours-
