What do you think of...

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m]?

Curious what others think of it!

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] is interesting. It sounds very old fashioned but it has a similar vibe to [name_m]Axel[/name_m] or [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] too which makes it feel fresh. It feels easy to pronounce and looks succinct

It reminds me of [name_m]Hansel[/name_m] ([name_m]Hansel[/name_m] and [name_f]Gretel[/name_f]) and ANSUL fire extinguishing systems. That said, I do sort of like it. It is definitely offbeat and I think it could be pulled off fairly easily.

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] first comes to mind, then [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] Elgort. It has history and a modern namesake to keep it from being super dusty. I doubt many younger people will think of [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m], but he’s a pretty great person to share a name with. I like it quite a lot.

Thank you for your thoughts everyone! I am really starting to like this one a lot!
@electric_sheep I hadn’t thought of [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m], what a great association!

I really like it. The only real associations I have with it are a female character in a book and [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] Elgort, though I’ve never seen any of his films.

I don’t mind it. The only time I’ve ever heard it before is on [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] Elgort.

I think it’s a good name! [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] sounds refreshing. It’s elegant, strong and very handsome.

I like it. I know a lovely 18-year-old [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] (brother to [name_m]Benedict[/name_m]) — it wears really well.

I think it fits in with all the modern names that are becoming popular and I love the connection to [name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m].

[name_m]Ansel[/name_m] [name_m]Adams[/name_m] was my first thought too. I like it
