Regarding the twin thing, yes, if you’ve been diagnosed with monochorionic twins, those are almost always identical. Diagnosis for that can come pretty early. So I don’t doubt OP’s story.
OP, just so you realize, we get A LOT of people trolling these boards with imaginary multiple pregnancies for fun, and it bothers us because we’re here to help people name actual children, not play games. There’s a whole separate board for that.
So that’s why the finger-pointing started because we get this sort of thing a lot, and in most cases (without a monochorionic diagnosis), people don’t know whether their twins are identical. [name_m]Even[/name_m] after birth, sometimes. [name_m]Hence[/name_m] the virtual eye rolls at your statement.
Anyway. I agree with pp about a few things. Here’s my issues with/thoughts on your list so far.
1.) [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Faith[/name_f] are a little… common, for my taste. But [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] and [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are much more common than [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] and [name_f]Faith[/name_f], so I agree that if these are the middles, they should be swapped. [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] [name_f]Faith[/name_f] and [name_f]Emmaline[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though the middles aren’t my particular taste and [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] is too popular for me, I think these two name combos are lovely for twin girls. They go very well together.
2.) [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] has some issues. Definitely agree that [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] is “[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] Island” to the ear, and I don’t like [name_m]Allen[/name_m] after [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], either. [name_u]Ellis[/name_u] and [name_u]Alex[/name_u] sound too much alike, and the combo is a tongue-twister.
3.) I really like pp’s suggestion of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], but I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m] (from your sig list) even more. [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Allen[/name_m] is my pick for your boys. [name_f]Regal[/name_f], classic, yet contemporary.
4.) I just want to compliment you on your twin-naming skills. I really like that your combos aren’t matchy-matchy, yet they stay in the same family of styles. And you’ve picked some great classic names that also go well with your son’s.
