[name]Peridot[/name]: I don’t know why, but i fell in love with this.
[name]Sylvie[/name]: [name]Just[/name] [name]Sylvie[/name], not [name]Sylvia[/name] or anything.
[name]Cecelia[/name]: I loved this a long time ago, go over it, but I’m loving it again.
[name]Bette[/name]: I love this. A lot.
First , I [name]Love[/name] your name! I have a little cousin with the same name but with a z …
I really like [name]Peridot[/name], too ,and would definitely consider using it
[name]Sylvie[/name] actually has meaning to me b/c I have a dear aunt named [name]Sylvia[/name], but I prefer [name]Sylvie[/name] hmm [name]Peridot[/name] [name]Sylvie[/name] would be soo cute!!
[name]Cecelia[/name]- it’s such a cute name , and I love the nn [name]CeCe[/name]
[name]Bette[/name]- love how it’s retro and feminine
[name]Peridot[/name] - This has always seemed really masculine to me, I guess because of the “[name]Peri[/name]”/[name]Perry[/name] part. Plus it’s a little out there. However, if other gem names can be used then I don’t see why this can’t; [name]Dot[/name]/[name]Dotty[/name] would be a cute nickname.
[name]Sylvie[/name] - I love [name]Sylvia[/name], but I love [name]Sylvie[/name] even more. I love its vintage, French feel and it reminds me of silver, which is a nice association in my opinion.
[name]Cecelia[/name] - The reason I have never liked this name is because one time, in science at school, we looked at a microscopic image of this thing in your body called ‘cilia’. It looked so gross, and ever since [name]Cecelia[/name]/[name]Celia[/name] has reminded me of it! I personaly prefer [name]Cecily[/name], I also think it’s got a nice edge to it that [name]Cecelia[/name] doesn’t have. But that’s just a personal issue, and having said that I think [name]Cece[/name] is a sweet nickname.
[name]Bette[/name] - Never been able to get on board with this, it just seemes too nicknamey to me. Though I think it works well as a middle, or a nickname for [name]Elisabeth[/name].
[name]Peridot[/name] - This is probably one of the only jewel names I really like. As suggested above [name]Dotty[/name] would be a really great nn. But since you have it listed as a mn that would be a mute point.
[name]Sylvie[/name] - With [name]Sylvie[/name] and [name]Sylvia[/name] I tend to hear hissing snake voice saying the name. (OR that song from Dirty Dancing - it’s really a toss up depending on the day). So while in actuality I like the femininity and softness of [name]Sylvie[/name] it won’t make my list anytime soon.
[name]Cecelia[/name] - I like the nn’s [name]Cece[/name] and [name]Lia[/name] for this name but I unfortunately don’t like them but together. I’m blaming it on a the mean kid in kindergarden that I don’t remember or something…
[name]Bette[/name] - I strongly prefer [name]Bette[/name] over [name]Betsy[/name] or any other B derivative of [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I think this and [name]Eliza[/name] are the two that are the most wearable regardless of age. But, I sometimes think that anything [name]Elizabeth[/name] related is a little tired - though [name]Bette[/name] is probably the least of those.
[name]Peridot[/name] - I find the sound pretty - love things ending with O, and the stone itself is pretty. But prn seems an issue, and also this always makes me think of periodontics (a field of dentistry).
[name]Sylvie[/name] - I prefer [name]Sylvia[/name] personally, but [name]Sylvie[/name] is great.
[name]Cecelia[/name] - I prefer the [name]Cecilia[/name] spelling, but either way, it’s a great name! My favorite on your list!
[name]Bette[/name] - I see the appeal but it’s very middle aged to me. Cool as a nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name] or [name]Bettina[/name] though, although I prefer [name]Betty[/name] or [name]Betsy[/name].
[name]Peridot[/name]- Cool. I’m not used to hearing it as a name, so it’s surprising when it first hits the ears… But I like it, and I’m just mad about [name]Dot[/name].
[name]Sylvie[/name]- I strongly prefer [name]Sylvia[/name]. [name]Sylvie[/name] does have a great namesake in the incredible ballerina [name]Sylvie[/name] [name]Guillem[/name] though.
[name]Cecelia[/name]- Getting so popular! I’m a [name]Celia[/name] fan myself, but I worry about its popularity.
[name]Bette[/name]- Yes! Pretty much a perfect name [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Peridot[/name]: Not a fan
[name]Sylvie[/name]: I like this one, I prefer it over [name]Sylvia[/name] actually
[name]Cecelia[/name]: Another one I like
[name]Bette[/name]: Maybe as a nickname, it just sounds like the word “bet” which isn’t appealing to me…
[name]Peridot[/name] is really interesting and I love the possible nicknames [name]Peri[/name] and [name]Dot[/name]/[name]Dottie[/name], so cute and means the name will suit different personalities.
[name]Sylvie[/name] and [name]Cecelia[/name] are both gorgeous.
[name]Peridot[/name]: Like this written down. Not sure how to prn it.
[name]Sylvie[/name]: Not a fan
[name]Cecelia[/name]: YES. Like [name]Cecily[/name] too.
[name]Bette[/name]: Nah but cool for a middle.
Wait. Are you pronouncing [name]Bette[/name] “[name]Bettie[/name]” or “[name]Bett[/name]”? I am a huge fan of [name]Bette[/name] pronounced “[name]Bettie[/name].” “[name]Bett[/name]” is nice too, but nowhere near as glamorous/adorable [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Peridot[/name]: this is my birthstone and I’ve always disliked the word so maybe I’m biased, sounds too wordy to me
[name]Sylvie[/name]: I like it, it’s cute
[name]Cecelia[/name]: I like this one, it has cute nicknames but still has a serious/adult side as well. I prefer [name]Cecily[/name] a bit.
[name]Bette[/name]: Good looking girls in my university were called Betties, lol, so that’s all I think about with this name, sorry
[name]Peridot[/name]: I have a hard time thinking of this as a name, it sounds childish to me
[name]Sylvie[/name]: lovely
[name]Cecelia[/name]:love love love
[name]Bette[/name]: not a fan, sounds like the word “bet” (too attached to gambling) or “bête” (means beast, also used to imply someone is idiotic, incompetent, etc) plus Bette is a plant/vegetable and not so much a first name on it’s own. However I do really like Elisabette!
