I am loving the names [name]Merida[/name] Namiko and [name]Briar[/name] Natsuko for a girl. I’d like some outside feedback on the names. What do you think?
I love [name]Merida[/name] and [name]Briar[/name], and while not knowing your ethnicity or background, I would only suggest using your selected middles if they are in fact related to your background, (or the shared background of your child!) so that you know the proper pronunciations and meanings. I like the sound of both of the combos on their own though! So please go ahead if you do share the ethnicity, (I want to say Japanese, but I don’t wish to risk offending you if I am terribly wrong! I am not familiar with many name origins) If the middles are of a ethnicity that you do not share, may I suggest just using [name]Merida[/name] [name]Briar[/name]?
I agree with kibby. Only use the middle names if you and/or your partner are Japanese! Otherwise, I quite like [name]Briar[/name], but I’m not a fan of [name]Merida[/name].
It is my ethnic background. [name]Baby[/name] will be 3/4 white and 1/4 Japanese. My mother is Japanese, and I’ve always had a soft spot for Japanese names. Namiko means “wave child” and Natsuko means “child of the summer”. [name]Both[/name] a fitting as I live near a beach (and spend a lot of time at said beach), and the baby will be born during the summer.
