What do you think?

Any opinions on the below? Expecting a second little one at the beginning of 2014, our first is [name]Stanley[/name]…

[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]
[name]Bessie[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Edie[/name] [name]Florence[/name]
[name]Peggy[/name] [name]Florence[/name]

[name]Ted[/name] [name]William[/name]
[name]Ted[/name] [name]Walter[/name]

[name]Love[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] and [name]Ted[/name]!

[name]Edie[/name] [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Ted[/name] [name]Walter[/name] would be my preferences, but [name]Ted[/name] [name]William[/name] is sweet as well. Sorry, stupid question, but have you considered [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] (nn [name]Bessie[/name]) or [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Florence[/name] (nn [name]Peggy[/name])? [name]Just[/name] because I think the flow is nicer with the longer forms of the names, and there are also more nickname options if she ever wanted to go by something else. Good luck!

[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] - I love [name]Ivy[/name], but I’m not a fan of the double “I”. It doesn’t sound that weird but it looks weird to me. What about [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Arabella[/name]?
[name]Bessie[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] - I’m sorry but [name]Bessie[/name] makes me think of a cow. I think it could grow on me if it were a nickname for [name]Elisabeth[/name].
[name]Edie[/name] [name]Florence[/name] - I think [name]Edie[/name] is a cute nickname. I feel really strongly about giving children full names and then just going by a nickname. [name]Edith[/name] [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Eden[/name] [name]Florence[/name] sound great too.
[name]Peggy[/name] [name]Florence[/name] - I really don’t like this one. [name]Peggy[/name] sounds to much like “Piggy” for my liking. I think it might be a little too old fashioned for a nickname as well.

[name]Ted[/name] [name]William[/name] - I prefer this one out of the two. I really like [name]Ted[/name] as a nickname for [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Theodore[/name] and [name]Stanley[/name] make an awesome pair of brothers. [name]Ted[/name] looks incomplete on its own compared to [name]Stanley[/name].
[name]Ted[/name] [name]Walter[/name]

I think [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] has some charm to it and [name]Ted[/name] [name]William[/name] is so classic. The other girl names are nice, but I prefer the the fuller versions with each nickname.

Thank you for replies  I think I am swayed by how many Elizabeths were in my year at school (I know it wouldn’t be the case now, but I can’t get over it not being unique enough). I’m not sure about [name]Margaret[/name], I’m not sure it’s ‘cute’ enough for me if that makes sense.

@VioletGray - I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Theodore[/name], but sadly the husband wont have it. I’d probably want to shorten it to [name]Theo[/name], he just wont have it :frowning: I shouldve probably mentioned that DS is usually [name]Stan[/name], so [name]Stan[/name] and [name]Ted[/name] would be the two brothers, i think it’s so cute! I get your point about [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Isabella[/name] - I like [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Arabella[/name] too.

As much as I love [name]Bess[/name], I don’t know that I like it on it’s own.

What about [name]Esther[/name] [name]Florence[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name]/[name]Tessie[/name]/[name]Tessa[/name]?

Or [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Ivy[/name] with nn [name]Bessie[/name]!

The one I like the most as is would be [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Isabella[/name].

I think [name]Ted[/name] is cute, but again, I’d prefer it as a nn for [name]Theodore[/name]. [name]Stanley[/name] and [name]Theodore[/name] are great together!

[name]Theodore[/name] [name]William[/name] nn [name]Ted[/name] would be my pick.

[name]Ivy[/name] [name]Isabella[/name]- [name]Ivy[/name] is cute, but I do not like [name]Isabella[/name]. Plus I think the I’s are a little awkward together.
[name]Bessie[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name]- I also think of a cow when I hear [name]Bessie[/name] or [name]Betsy[/name].
[name]Edie[/name] [name]Florence[/name]- This one is alright. I think [name]Eden[/name] [name]Flora[/name] would be a cute and more modern version.
[name]Peggy[/name] [name]Florence[/name]- I can’t see a child with this name. A little old ladyish

[name]Ted[/name] [name]William[/name]- This one is my favorite out of the two.
[name]Ted[/name] [name]Walter[/name]

I’m super biased on this one but [name]Ivy[/name] isabella is my fav from your list. The others are nmsaa except [name]Florence[/name]-I love that!
Good luck & congrats!
