What do you think?

I like boys name [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] Aleio, Aleio being pronounced UH-lay-oh & named after my sister who passed away, [name_f]Aleia[/name_f]. The nickname would be [name_f]Emi[/name_f], which we would consistently call him. Thoughts?

I think it’s a wonderful way to honour your dear sister. It also flows so well and [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] is a gorgeous name.

Emi is also such a cute nickname for a boy.

I love it! Although [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] isn’t a really “harsh” name, it’s not quite as “soft” as Aleio, so I feel like they balance each other out!

I prefer the nn [name_f]Em[/name_f] for [name_u]Emmett[/name_u], but [name_f]Emi[/name_f] is very sweet and I still like it!

My deepest condolences for your loss :pray:t2:

Works fine. I am sorry about your sister’s passing. If [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] were my name, I wouldn’t go by [name_f]Emi[/name_f], but he could decide that later.

I think it sounds great! [name_f]Emi[/name_f] might be a bit feminine for a boy on the playground, but he could always decide to go by something else when he’s older.

Yep. For you & everyone else, that’s why I’m doing [name_u]Emmett[/name_u]. I actually chose it because I love the name [name_f]Emi[/name_f] but see it as too informal. But if he hates it when he’s older, he can go by something else.

Hope I didn’t sound too negative! If you love [name_f]Emi[/name_f], that’s what matters and I’m sure he’ll wear it well!
