What does anyone think of [name]Dougal[/name] [name]Gray[/name]? I know it’s quite unusual (I have only ever met one person called [name] Dougal [/name]) but I think it sounds quite poetic - actually, a warrior called [name] Dougal [/name]? Perhaps not…
I can’t remember the last time I heard the name [name]Dougal[/name]. I have little to no experience with it so it just seems sort of foreign to me. I don’t think I even know how to pronounce it.
Since [name]Dougal[/name] means dark stranger, according to nameberry, [name]Dougal[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is kind of a dark name.
It’s ultra-Scottish but I find it handsome. [name]Gray[/name], however, strikes me as a bit of a filler; I like it less than [name]Dougal[/name].
Is this pronounced [name]DOUG[/name]-al, DOOG-al, or another way? Is [name]Doug[/name] a nickname that you like?
I think it could work. My dad’s name is [name]Douglas[/name], and [name]Dougal[/name] could be a fresher alternative to [name]Douglas[/name]. [name]Gray[/name] is popular, as a stand alone name and a nn for [name]Grayson[/name]. I think it sounds fine with [name]Dougal[/name]. Without looking up the meanings I think [name]Dougal[/name] [name]Gray[/name] is kindof handsome.
It would be pronounced DOOG-al - my dad is Scottish and I was looking for something a bit more out of the ordinary. Thank you!
