What does everyone think of Autumn?

Im just curious. I know how i feel about it but wondered what others thoughts were? I gather it is much more popular in the US than here in the UK.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is fine. (I’ve never really been a fan of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] or [name_f]Summer[/name_f] and honestly find it a bit boring.)

I think there are many more fun names that have the autumn feel but also evoke a more distinct visual.
[name_f]Mauve[/name_f], [name_f]Amber[/name_f], Harvest, [name_f]Maisie[/name_f], [name_f]Tempest[/name_f], [name_f]Elvira[/name_f], [name_u]Raven[/name_u] etc.

I have lots of negative associations with the name through people with the name, but I guess it’s an OK name in general.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is pretty but I much prefer [name_u]Winter[/name_u].

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f], with its increasing popularity, has become not as appealing to me, it’s pretty, but I prefer,(and you might like these nature-ish names as well):
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_f]Zinnia[/name_f]
[name_f]Hyacinth[/name_f]
[name_f]Sparrow[/name_f](I don’t like it much, but I love birds so I wanted to add it, along with:)
[name_f]Wren[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f](nn wren)
[name_u]Juneau[/name_u]/[name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f]
[name_f]Meadow[/name_f]
[name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_u]Janvier[/name_u]
[name_u]January[/name_u] nn [name_f]Jani[/name_f]/Janny
[name_f]Avril[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f](capital of ME)
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
[name_f]Nova[/name_f]
[name_f]Oriel[/name_f]
[name_f]Taryn[/name_f] (means nature)
[name_u]Chelsea[/name_u] (safe harbour)
[name_f]Sedona[/name_f](gorgeous town in arizona)
[name_m]Austin[/name_m] (capital of TX)
[name_u]Phoenix[/name_u] (capital of AZ)
[name_f]Aura[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (IL)
[name_f]Jade[/name_f]
[name_u]Jay[/name_u]
[name_u]Carden[/name_u] (associated with the word garden)

I love it. It’s actually one of my favorite names.

Its nice to see [name_u]Raven[/name_u] and [name_f]Meadow[/name_f] in those lists, I love both, and many of the other suggestions. I have never met an [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] in real life so it surprises me that some people know so many!

I have always felt like [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] was tacky. I don’t really know why. I feel the same way about [name_f]Summer[/name_f].

I don’t care for [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], but it’s not awful. It simply isn’t my style. Month/season names aren’t my thing (unless they’re in the middle spot.)

I like month/season names but [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] has never been top of my list. I don’t like how it sounds like autism. I would rather meet an [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] than a [name_u]Jaylen[/name_u] though anyday.

Here in the US I always had a negative association with [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] while growing up in the 90s. It seemed somehow down market. I have recently met a baby named [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] & it feels fresh to me now.

Sorry, but it always reminds me of a stripper/porn star.

I love it! [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is very simple, yet gorgeous and elegant!

I also like [name_u]Winter[/name_u].

I like the Au sound, which is what I like about [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is dated in the USA much like [name_f]April[/name_f] or [name_f]Summer[/name_f], but I would use it in the UK.

I love [name_f]Autumn[/name_f]! I love the look and sound of it, and it’s also my favorite season! [name_u]Winter[/name_u] is my favorite season name, but [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is definitely second. The popularity is the only thing that throws me off.
