I’ve been thinking about adding [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] to my list, but I feel like I just can’t “see” [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. I love the smart nn of [name_m]Seb[/name_m] (and the adorable Sebby!); I love the tie to my favorite Shakespearean play ever, Twelfth [name_m]Night[/name_m]. It’s poised, it’s intelligent, it’s charming, it’s a bit sensitive. But what does a [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] look like?
I don’t know why I didn’t think of that! Thanks for the idea. I’ve used it before, but generally it’s not too helpful. Some of those little Sebastians were pretty cute, but I’m still not sure if I can see me with a [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], if that makes sense.
My 20 month old [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] (Bashy) has dimples in his cheeks and his chin, mischievous blue eyes, a roguish grin and think blond hair. I’m biased, but he’s seriously adorable! It was hard for me to imagine giving a baby such a big name but he grew into it right away.
I know two Sebastians.
[name_f]One[/name_f] has brown hair and intense blue eyes. He’s quite short, and skinny. Very sweet, nice and fun to be around
The other one is blonde, also with blue eyes I think. He is stall and skinny, quite arrogant and not so fun to be around though ;p
But I think [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is a good name, and I think [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] works no matter what the boy will look like
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] has dark, nearly black, wavy hair and intense blue eyes which crinkle up when he smiles. In fact, I imagine a [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] exactly the same as what I imagine a [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] looking like, if that helps connect him to an image for you (I’m pretty sure it won’t, but anyway!) Bastie is what we call my little cousin [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], so that’s another nickname possibility. Good luck!
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is wonderful, firstly. I think he is intelligent but fun, strong and smart, romantic and dashing, loyal and noble. And looks like [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Franco[/name_m] - tall, handsome, dark-haired and enigmatic.
Nope, haha, I think part of my problem is that I can’t see it on a child! I google “[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] guy” and can see [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] on a full-grown man, but I can’t really “see” [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] on a boy, no matter how many pictures of little boys named [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] I’ve seen. I don’t know what it is. I felt this way about [name_f]Violet[/name_f], too, but I eventually got over it and can see enough of what a [name_f]Violet[/name_f] would look like to know that I’d love to have one. But [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], idk. It seems more like a name, like a word, than a living, breathing person with emotions and character and movement and all.
I know only one [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]-- he’s about 55 or 60. He’s a wealthy doctor with a wife and three kids (all of whom went to good universities). He has blondish hair that he wears parted on the side and has bright blue eyes. Very intelligent, sophisticated, one might say “debonair” (I usually only see him at social functions that involve the wearing of formal attire). Dry wit. Basketball fan. I don’t know if any of this helps?
I see it two ways; the first time I heard the name it belonged to a little [name_f]Asian[/name_f] boy, so for a long time that was the sole image in my head. However, now, because of a book character, I also see it as skinny, angular, blonde, and grey/blue-eyed. I also see the dark hair/blue eyes suggestion as above, however
