I’m drawing a manga and it has been decided that the main character (who should be a physically attractive within the age category of 18-22) will have either of the following names:

[name_m]Edouard[/name_m]
[name_m]Guillermo[/name_m]
[name_u]Howard[/name_u]
[name_m]Mitch[/name_m]
[name_m]Floyd[/name_m]
Which name seems most suitable for that character description above? (MUST have either of these names, no exceptions!)
What do you HONESTLY think of (character wise) when you see these names? E.g. “The name [name_u]Billy[/name_u] makes me think of a 50 year old white Australian father who is very kind and loving to his children. He has a tough day-to-day job and is graying with heavy laughter lines. He has a dad body and loves to drink beer”.
I understand that you want answers to your question but the way you’re demanding help is incredibly rude. It hasn’t even been a day, sometimes people have nothing to say, be patient.
None of the names make me think attractive male. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is closest, but it makes me think more of a boy maybe 10ish years old.
Got to agree with [name_f]Kizzy[/name_f]… I get that you posted for a reason, but absolutely no-one in the universe is obliged to give up their time and energy to help you for free, despite your reasons! Luckily, I’m a procrastinator avoiding other things and am at my wits end of what else I can do on the internets to distract myself from morning sickness, so here goes:
My top picks for what you describe would be [name_m]Mitch[/name_m], [name_m]Floyd[/name_m], or [name_m]Edouard[/name_m]. Maybe [name_m]Luis[/name_m].
[name_m]Mitch[/name_m] sounds maybe a bit full of himself, jock-ish.
[name_m]Floyd[/name_m] sounds perhaps a bit on the gentler, less self-interested, but still potentially a good-looking chap.
[name_m]Edouard[/name_m] sounds [name_m]French[/name_m], and not jock-ish but maybe still a bit cocky.
[name_m]Luis[/name_m] sounds pretty similar to [name_m]Edouard[/name_m]. He sounds like maybe he likes cooking or computers though.
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] sounds like a little boy… blond, skinny, into soccer.
[name_m]Guillermo[/name_m] is a heavy-set - whether muscular and broad-shouldered or a bit fat - Mexican or Spanish man. He likes tacos. I actually KNOW a slim, reasonably good looking [name_m]Guillermo[/name_m], but he always goes by the nickname Memo, so [name_m]Guillermo[/name_m] really just makes me think of [name_m]Guillermo[/name_m] del [name_m]Toro[/name_m] and [name_m]Pan[/name_m]'s Labyrinth!
[name_u]Howard[/name_u] is geeky/nerdy, has round spectacles. Could be a gangly teen, maybe a middle-aged starting to grey man.
I understand you’re saying I’m rude but the person asking for it is someone holding a competition at the university and want it in within 4 days. That’s the reason I am trying to push for it and it’s that fact you have to create a short comic within one week and especially considering the fact I gotta balance this out with exams. Maybe I shouldn’t be here as I’m just a first year university student not even thinking or expecting children anytime soon or a mother? Sorry. It’s a superhero themed comic
Next time, try the Writers’ forum. It’s less crowded and threads don’t move down so fast.
As for the names, I think [name_m]Luis[/name_m] and [name_m]Felix[/name_m] work best. They sound like nice, young men, [name_m]Felix[/name_m] tall and maybe a little shy, [name_m]Luis[/name_m] more outgoing.
[name_m]Edouard[/name_m] and [name_m]Guillermo[/name_m] could work. I picture them as an exchange student from abroad, has been wearing a suit and a tie since highschool, and makes the girls giggle and turn their hads when he walks by.
[name_u]Howard[/name_u] is pretty much the example description you gave, not fitting at all.
[name_m]Mitch[/name_m] is very full of himself and constantly gets in trouble. I think it’s too old for your character.
I have nothing about [name_m]Floyd[/name_m].
