So I have been having so much trouble with a girls name …we totally have settled on a boys name, but for some reason no girls name seems good enough that has not already been taken by friends.
She/he will be our first child - and seriously …I have been thinking of girl names all my life, and now that I can actually name my daughter …nothing sticks! If a boy - he will be named [name]Kai[/name]. (does that mean I will have a boy
Either way need to be prepared!
Our last name is [name]Bee[/name] (like a honey bee - so perhaps a lil tricky )
Would you talented ladies be so kind as to make some suggestions?
Am really drawn to names such as : avery, ella, mia, brooklyn …but all those are not possible for one reason or another. Oh and we would love her middle name to be [name]Penny[/name] after my grandmother.
First off, I would suggest a rather “formal” name to offset the cutesiness of [name]Penny[/name] [name]Bee[/name]. [name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong, I like it, esp. since [name]Penny[/name] has meaning, but I think a more elaborate first name is in order. Something like [name]Francesca[/name], which I don’t think is your style at all given the examples you gave, but you get my meaning.
Your name examples aren’t my style but I’ll give it a try – possibilities might be:
[name]Cecilia[/name] (nn [name]Lily[/name], [name]Lia[/name])
[name]Josephine[/name] (nn [name]Joey[/name] or [name]Josie[/name])
[name]Gwendolen[/name] (nn [name]Gwen[/name])
[name]Audra[/name] (saw this on another’s list and like it SO much more than [name]Audrey[/name], which wouldn’t work well with your last name)
[name]Rhiannon[/name] (nn [name]Ria[/name])
hmm I agree with the PP who said it should be something a bit formal, and definitely multiple syllables…
[name]How[/name] about
[name]Sylvia[/name]*
[name]Carina[/name]
[name]Gloria[/name] (or basically any name ending with -a)
[name]Caroline[/name]*
[name]Eleanor[/name]*
[name]Marion[/name]
Yep. Something formal, for sure, with cute little [name]Penny[/name] [name]Bee[/name]! Aw. But, something youthful and fresh, as that seems to be your style…
