Before we knew our son was a boy, we were considering [name_u]Story[/name_u], [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] or [name_u]Sage[/name_u] for a girl. [name_u]Story[/name_u] is my favorite by far, but I fear we have to nix it with a son named [name_u]Reed[/name_u] (too themey, don’t you think?). Is [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] too close to go with [name_u]Reed[/name_u]? What other names along these lines can you think of?
I also feel that these names would need a decidedly feminine middle name. We never got that far in the process before…so suggestions are welcome!
I agree with you, [name_u]Story[/name_u] and [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] will have to be nixed since you can “read” them both. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the name [name_u]Sage[/name_u]. Two more suggestions are [name_u]Lake[/name_u] and [name_u]Arden[/name_u].
I agree [name_u]Story[/name_u] isn’t going to work with [name_u]Reed[/name_u] I really like [name_u]Sage[/name_u] though! I also like the suggestions of [name_u]Lake[/name_u] & [name_u]Arden[/name_u] for first names and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] & [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] in the middle.
[name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_u]Auden[/name_u]
[name_u]Eden[/name_u]
[name_f]Liv[/name_f]
[name_f]Lola[/name_f]
[name_u]Remy[/name_u]/[name_u]Remi[/name_u]
[name_f]Suri[/name_f]
and [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Isla[/name_f] in the middle?
[name_u]Lyric[/name_u] is nice, but I prefer [name_f]Lyra[/name_f]. Then the middle could be whatever you wanted since [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] is pretty feminine. [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is also nice. [name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]? Or something flowy in the middle.
Other suggestions:
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]- [name_u]Elm[/name_u] tree
[name_u]Rowan[/name_u]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f]
[name_f]Poet[/name_f]
[name_u]Wren[/name_u]
Unfortunately I think [name_u]Story[/name_u] and [name_u]Reed[/name_u] are a little too matchy… that’s too bad because they go together well. Maybe [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]? [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] also seems a little matchy.
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] is a good fit!
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
Thanks everyone!
I am saddened as when I was pregnant (before we found out he was a boy), I kept thinking of reasons why [name_u]Story[/name_u] would be a great name (heard a great song in church that would have added meaning to the name)…so, sad we can’t use it, though I do love [name_u]Reed[/name_u]!
I will have to run these ideas by my hubby…thank you so much for the ideas!
I love [name_u]Eden[/name_u]…[name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_u]Eden[/name_u]?
Can’t use [name_f]Lola[/name_f] as that means “grandma” in Tagalog (my husband is Filipino).
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Annelyse[/name_f] (this spelling, for meaning) but can’t get hubby on board. I love [name_f]Isla[/name_f], but is it too trendy? Becoming too popular? [name_u]Sage[/name_u] [name_f]Isla[/name_f]? I’ve always thought it would be fun to have twin girls, [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
[name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is out…our god-son is [name_m]Emil[/name_m] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f], though I love, is our god-daughter.
