I’ve recently decided to put [name]Lydia[/name] on my top 10, and I’m completely in love with it, but I’m quite torn about combos! Anything I think of doesn’t work with [name]Lydia[/name] to my satisfaction. Any ideas? I’ll eventually add a second MN to honor family, so I’m not too fussed if the endings are a bit rhymey, like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Helena[/name] or something.
[name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Liliana[/name]/[name]Lillian[/name], [name]Rachel[/name], [name]Daphne[/name], and [name]Magda[/name] are the other FNs on my list, so I would like to avoid them (and too-similar names) as MNs in other combos.
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Juliette[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Bridget[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Colette[/name] (I think [name]Lydia[/name] sounds best with and -ett name I guess)
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Willa[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Jemima[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Gretchen[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Felicity[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] (or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sophie[/name]? [name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Sofia[/name]/[name]Sophie[/name] and I have a whole history that I love, and I’ve been considering [name]Sophia[/name]/[name]Sofia[/name] as a FN again, so I definitely like the idea of this. I’m not sure I love it, though…)
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] (I was actually considering this a lot lately and I was wondering if I should have posted it in the original post. I like it a lot and have been considering [name]Josephine[/name] more seriously lately but I’m not sure I’m completely in favor of it. There’s something a bit bland about [name]Josephine[/name] to me, but it’s probably my favorite option so far! I’m not sure I like any of my family names with [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], though…)
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] (I find myself attracted to it, but I’m not sure! I’ve hated [name]Beatrice[/name] since forever but it’s recently grown on me. I don’t know if I would use [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name], but I do like it more than most of the other options. Hmmm…)
I’m also tossing around [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Primrose[/name], maybe? And [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Phoebe[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Penelope[/name]. I think I might prefer [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] to them all, though!
[name]Feel[/name] free to keep the suggestions coming!
I almost suggested [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Penelope[/name], but I thought maybe it was too super Greek?! I don’t normally go for [name]Penelope[/name], but I think they sound really pretty together.
Also…
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Berenice[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Bernadette[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Jolene[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Simone[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] has been growing on me too! But I actually find it difficult to pair with a middle, and maintain a nice flow. I dont know how you feel about alliteration, but I used to know a [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Lorraine[/name], and I actually thought it sounded quite nice. a few others I’ve tossed around that haven’t been mentioned:
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Evangeline[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Camille[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Cecile[/name]
Oh I love all three; [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] - all just gorgeous!
I also like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Primrose[/name], something really sweet about that combo.
I’m not sure if any of the new ideas really struck me. Maybe [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Gwendolyn[/name]… I love the names separately but I don’t know that I would want to use them with [name]Lydia[/name]. It doesn’t really strike me as the combo.
[name]Do[/name] you like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] or [name]Magda[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] better? I think I’d likely use [name]Josephine[/name] as a MN for one of them and I can’t decide which appeals to me more.
I know you said it doesn’t matter if they’re rhymey, but I have a real aversion to rhymey, even if I know it will flow when another name is added. Except [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Annora[/name], I know it’s rhymey but I guess it flows.
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Cosette[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [other name] [name]Milena[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Antoinette[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Serene[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Celeste[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Romilly[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Harmony[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Coralie[/name] / [name]Coraline[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Fabienne[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Annora[/name] / [name]Honora[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Clemency[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Christiane[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Christabelle[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Albany[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Amity[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Ernestine[/name]
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name]
Ooh, I do love [name]Anneliese[/name]! And it would honor my grandma. Maybe something like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name]? That’s kind of long, though…
I like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name]. It has the same amount of syllables as [name]Isabella[/name] [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Grace[/name] but I think ‘[name]Sophie[/name]’ makes it look longer. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sofie[/name] [name]Anneliese[/name] is shorter in appearance, but it might look a bit trendy?
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Sophie[/name] [name]Annaliese[/name] is so pretty! I also like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Primrose[/name].
