She keeps appearing on lots of love like loses as love.
I love Rosemary too, though I might be having slight Rosemary fatigue.
I like the name because it is strong, lengthy, with nn options, and is a favorite flavor of mine. Others?

I feel the same way about [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] (minus the nickname options) and Saffron. [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] / [name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f] is one I really like as well!
I do adore Rosemary!
One factor of that might be that I love [name_u]Marian[/name_u] names; the “mary” in it is appealing sound wise and otherwise! I love the connection it has with the “Rose” family and the “Mary” family. It’s familiar and opens itself to intuitive nicknames.
I also love the plant, the plant’s meaning of remembrance, and the literal meaning of the name!
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] feels spunky and substantial while having a long history and a lot of wearers; it feels like the perfect pick for a baby today.
So do you think there will be a million Rosemarys born soon? I’m just curious.
although [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] isn’t one of my all time favorites, I do get lovely imagery from it, and I think that may be one of the reasons it’s so loved. The imagery activated all of my senses, too. I can smell the lovely fresh scent and taste the spicy, herby flavor. I can’t think of many other names that give me this multi-layered imagery. It’s a nature name but also feels sweet and traditional at the same time, while having a plethora of nickname options. There are so many reasons to love it!!
It’s salty seaside perfection. [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_u]Romy[/name_u] are also chirpy and bright nns that allow [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] to change with the person depending on their preference. It’s unusual, but well-known, sitting snug in the “Golden Girl” spot of names,
ahhhhh yes!!! rosemary is absolutely gorgeous!!
nah, I don’t think so. it’s not really that type of name, you know??
some other names that I love who remind me of rosemary:
dorothea
chrysanthemum
jane (give her a chance)
marigold
harriet
eliza
clara
I hope this helps!!
Nope
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is lovely and warm, and the nature imagery is definitely an added bonus! I love [name_u]Romy[/name_u] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] for nicknames. I think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] has pretty broad appeal overall–she manages to feel both traditional and nature-y, vintage and fresh, sweet and strong.
I love the way it’s two almost overdone names that come together to make something fresh
I love Rosemary!! It was on our list until my sister used [name_f]Rose[/name_f] for her daughters middle name and her dog
I absolutely love [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] it’s just such a classic, elegant choice with such beautiful imagery. As @firefly305 said she is salty seaside perfection the name just ignites all your senses and makes you fall in love with her. I love the range of nicknames and how familiar yet underused she is. I think [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is lovely I have the combination [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] [name_f]Laura[/name_f] on my list. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is getting a lot of attention on nameberry I do not see lots of babies being named [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] I think this name is more of a nameberry favourite rather than a real life favourite. When I mention this name to others no one really likes it so I think it is a [name_u]Berry[/name_u] name. Similarly I see my daughters name on nameberry a lot and I notice that people are liking [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] a lot on nameberry which makes me really happy. But in real life not many people have heard of Lilia, I haven’t come across a [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and she is constantly mistaken for [name_f]Lila[/name_f] so despite her popularity here that’s not the case outside of [name_u]Berry[/name_u] land. I honestly think there is a massive difference in nameberry names & real life names so do not think that the likes of [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] will become the new Olivia.
All I think of is the seasoning, which I love, but I wouldn’t name my kid after it.
I think it will go up in popularity, but I don’t think it will top the charts.
I like Rosemary. I don’t think it’s that commonly used. I’ve only had one great aunt named that and one person in my generation (millenial) with this name. It’s a pretty name and it’s classic. People will know how to spell it and pronounce it, but it’s not over used.
[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is stunning, but my favorite thing about it is the nickname [name_u]Romy[/name_u]
I genuinely don’t know I find [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] very dated and don’t understand why it’s plastered all across NB. Althoughba fabulous herb, I don’t get the obsession.
I think people generally love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] names, especially less common ones that still share Rose’s classic quality and long history. Plus, it ticks the nature and vintage trend boxes, and comes with a bunch of great nicknames.
It’s also a great middle name that flows with a lot of the short, sweet, A-ending names popular at the moment.
[name_f]My[/name_f] opinion is that [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] is a botanical lovely, yet also a sensible name - so very usable with its well established [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] components. I think the appeal in baby name games is that you can ignore that [name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] feels dated (if you only know older Rosemary’s as I do) and go with the whimsical side.
It’s really sweet but not “soft.” It has a spunky feel!
