I think [name_f]Marie[/name_f] is a total gem as a FN, but yes I agree, it can feel a bit tired in the middle.
However, I do think middle names like [name_f]Rose[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]May[/name_f] seem to be the “go to” filler MNs right now, even more so than [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. I swear every other birth announcement for a girl that I see, has one of those three as a middle name!
This is where I’m at. I don’t despise the name itself; on its own, it’s actually rather pretty. But speaking for myself, my own parents plunked it in there “just because” - no rhyme or reason, just needed to fill out the birth certificate. (Not only that, but they allowed my then ten-year-old brother to talk them into a name that had already been given to our older cousin, which he liked because he had a crush on her at the time. [name_f]Every[/name_f] time I sign a document, I think to myself: “Mom, you were in labor for eight weeks and you couldn’t be bothered to pick up a baby name book and bounce around a few otheroptions? REALLY??”)
So I’m admittedly biased regarding [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. But maybe I will run a few of the ones suggested here past them. Nothing lost - if all else fails, I guess she’ll be yet another member of the [name_f]Marie[/name_f] club.
