[name]Don[/name]'t get me wrong, I love names with the “ee” sound ending in a. I just don’t think this name sounds very nice. And also, all I can think about it is how you can add 3 letters and it basically becomes pedophilia. And I also can’t get past the “opheliac” reference. What do you like about this name? I really want to like it, maybe some positive opinions on it would help me get past the negative connections I have with it!
I want to like it too but I can’t get past the ‘feel’ part
I loooove the name [name]Ophelia[/name], it’s got an “o”, I think that’s one of the most beautiful letters to say, and it’s got the ph-sound, so sweet and mellow and soft. Besides, it looks gorgeous.
Also these things:
- My favourite painter [name]John[/name] [name]William[/name] Waterhouse has three amazing paintings of her, they are stunning.
- [name]One[/name] of my favourite albums by [name]Natalie[/name] Merchant.
- [name]Hamlet[/name]; I love the [name]Ophelia[/name] character, my favourite of the tragic heroines.
I love it, actually. It has such an ethereal feel about it, and I love the dignity and presence of “O” names, they’re just really cool, imo. Plus, [name]Shakespeare[/name]'s amazing. [name]Even[/name] if [name]Ophelia[/name]'s a tragic character, I still love the nod to [name]Shakespeare[/name], and I think it has such a lovely sound. I would use it as a MN ([name]Violet[/name] [name]Ophelia[/name] [name]Claire[/name]'s on my list), but I would give major props to anyone who chooses to use it as a FN.
“I loved [name]Ophelia[/name]. Forty thousand brothers / Could not with all their quantity of love / Make up my sum. What wilt thou do for her?”
It’s just a soft, pretty, lithe name. [name]Olivia[/name] is too popular and kind of harsh sounding.
I love [name]Ophelia[/name]. I love that it starts with an O and the ending is very soft. I think its a beautiful name.
