[name]Oscar[/name] - nerdy and a loner

I’ll just say whatever comes to mind

[name]Levi[/name]- Country, tractor, grease
[name]Miles[/name]- Sweet kid, strong, smart, but a little nerdy
[name]Coen[/name]- Polish/Dutch/Finnish?
[name]Alec[/name]- Strong, cool, handsome
[name]Alex[/name]- handsome, nice, friendly, funny
[name]Benjamin[/name]- little boy in overalls, cute little kid, nice
[name]Jack[/name]- Nice, happy, protective, determined
[name]Quinn[/name]- Sweet, nice, creative, thoughtful, smart
[name]Davis[/name]- Big, muscular, protective, loving
[name]Oscar[/name]- can’t shake the [name]Oscar[/name] the Grouch thing.
[name]Felix[/name]- Macho, tough, determined, wary

I hope this is kinda what you meant? I like all the names, just have different thoughts on each. [name]Hope[/name] this helped!

[name]Levi[/name] - strong, but overly Biblical to me. There are few names that I feel are too Biblical, but [name]Levi[/name] is one of them. I also think of [name]Zachary[/name] [name]Levi[/name], the actor.

[name]Miles[/name] - I think of [name]Miles[/name] [name]Davis[/name] straightaway, and an episode of some show where this guy goes off the deep end and creates this son in his mind whose name is “[name]Miles[/name]”–because it’s so close to “smiles”, but he got it from some street sign on a highway or something. It was a weird episode, lol. I don’t even remember what show it was from.

[name]Coen[/name] - I just automatically think of the HUGE debate over how [name]Cohen[/name] is such a religious hot-issue and how it’s offensive to about half the Jewish population. I would steer clear of it, personally, haha.

[name]Alec[/name] - [name]Alec[/name] [name]Baldwin[/name]. haha. It’s a nice name, but I think of him right away. I like the idea of [name]Alexander[/name], nn [name]Alec[/name]…

[name]Alex[/name] - I don’t really have any associations to it, except that I automatically don’t have a great reaction. I’m not sure why, but I’ve always pretty strongly disliked [name]Alex[/name]. :*(

[name]Benjamin[/name] - like! I automatically think of my adorable second cousin, whose name is [name]Benjamin[/name]. Everyone calls him [name]Ben[/name] or [name]Benny[/name], but I have pretty much always called him [name]Benjamin[/name]. I think it’s adorable. It was my favorite boys’ name about the time he was born, but I obviously can’t use it now. :*(

[name]Jack[/name] - I think of a smart, cultured, pretty much all-American, laid-back cutey-patooty. One of my favorite professors has a really cute little boy named [name]Jack[/name] who she brought to class on several occasions–he’s smart, inventive, a bit artistic, a little scalawag. My grandfather went by [name]Jack[/name], too, so I think of him. And a few of the Jacks on TV–[name]Jack[/name] Hodgins (Bones), [name]Jack[/name] [name]Shepherd[/name] (LOST), [name]Jack[/name] [name]Bristow[/name] (Alias), etc.

[name]Quinn[/name] - I always used to associate it with this guy that was in a book I read several years ago. He was from the Midwest ([name]Montana[/name]), owned a ranch, and worked full-time as a U.S. [name]Marshal[/name]. He was pretty cool, haha. I loved the name because of him. I also associate it to some girls on TV (like the [name]Quinn[/name] on [name]Zoey[/name] 101, which my sisters used to [name]LOVE[/name]). I think it’s handsome, even though it’s unisex.

[name]Davis[/name] - again, [name]Miles[/name] [name]Davis[/name]. It’s interesting, but too surnamey for me.

[name]Oscar[/name] - [name]LOVE[/name] this! I automatically associate it to a church member, because their family has an adorable little boy named [name]Oskar[/name]. Most people associate it to [name]Oscar[/name] [name]Meyer[/name] and [name]Oscar[/name] the Grouch, but those aren’t really bad associations to me. I also think of my [name]Henry[/name] combo (which is [name]Henry[/name] [name]Oscar[/name] something-or-other), and I now think of my brother, who is in the [name]Air[/name] Force (I don’t know what the alphabet thing is called, but instead of A B C D E F G … they have [name]Alpha[/name], [name]Bravo[/name], [name]Charlie[/name], [name]Delta[/name], [name]Echo[/name], Foxtrot, Gulf, etc… “O” stands for “[name]Oscar[/name]”, so it reminds me of him now, haha).

[name]Felix[/name] - I think of [name]Felix[/name] the [name]Cat[/name]. Since it means “happiness” I also think of happy things, and happiness reminds me of one of my heroes, [name]Gladys[/name] Aylward. She rescued about 100 orphans from the Japanese army during WWII… she also was a missionary to [name]China[/name] who ran an inn called “The Inn of the Sixth Happiness.”

[name]Jack[/name], [name]Benjamin[/name], [name]Oscar[/name], and [name]Felix[/name] are my favorites!

[name]Levi[/name]-
[name]Miles[/name]- Kind of shy, nerdy, nice-guy sounding name
[name]Coen[/name]- Frenchie, cool, mysterious
[name]Alec[/name]- nerdy, annoyind
[name]Alex[/name]- if it’s short for [name]Alexander[/name], cool, tough, leader, strong
[name]Benjamin[/name]- cute kiddie
[name]Jack[/name]- strong, sweet, nice, tough
[name]Quinn[/name]- nice? smart?
[name]Davis[/name]- I know a [name]Davis[/name] so I don’t really know, nice-guy?
[name]Oscar[/name]- sounds cool, bad-boy
[name]Felix[/name]- sounds cool, slightly bad-boy

Thanks, these are great! I love [name]Benjamin[/name] the most, but it was the #3 name in 2010 in Oregon, where I live. I kind of like [name]Miles[/name] but it seems nerdy to me, kind of like [name]Felix[/name] but it seems like a cat, and you all reinforced. Didn’t know [name]Levi[/name] was very religious, so glad to know that since we’re not religious at all.

[name]Levi[/name]-Sweet, but athletic
[name]Miles[/name]- Very studious (also a little Turn of the screw but I’m getting over it)
[name]Coen[/name]-[name]Farmer[/name] boy (nothing wrong with that)
[name]Alec[/name]- “smart [name]Alec[/name]”
[name]Alex[/name]- This could go any way
[name]Benjamin[/name]-Cute, artistic, I picture [name]Benjamin[/name] [name]Bunny[/name]
[name]Jack[/name]- Strong leader, charismatic, athletic (ok, doing a JFK project right now)
[name]Quinn[/name]- I see a girl, [name]Quinten[/name]-good at math but not in a nerdy way
[name]Davis[/name]- Hokey player
[name]Oscar[/name]- Surfer/snowboarder
[name]Felix[/name]- Sensitive, a nature guy. Or a jerk

Hii Tottc,
If you’re not religious then I’d really suggest leaving [name]Levi[/name] and [name]Coen[/name] behind. Another pp mentioned it can be pretty offensive to Jewish people and it’s really true! Especially [name]Coen[/name], like really really; just fyi. They’re Jewish surnames and to be a descendent of the Cohens is the biggest honor and Levis the second biggest honor and has benefits is religious ceromonies. I personally don’t take it too seriously but my dad’s generation would be pretty floored I think!

K. Super like [name]Alec[/name] over [name]Alex[/name]. [name]Alex[/name] is just too boring. [name]Alec[/name] seems smarter and maybe better at languages. I just love [name]Jack[/name] - very all American friendly guy. Could sell you real estate or lead a country. [name]Felix[/name] seems like a popular dark haired guy. [name]Benjamin[/name] seems dated to me I dunno. [name]Quinn[/name] is the popular preppy girl first in [name]Daria[/name] then in Glee. Oscars I have known have all been suave Latinos! [name]Davis[/name] seems like a football playing jock but I like that.

Cheers!

[name]Levi[/name]-Serious and wise
[name]Miles[/name]-Okay name but becoming overused
[name]Coen[/name]-Pocket protector name
[name]Alec[/name]-Solid name, good alternative to [name]Alexander[/name] but I have friends whose son has this name and all through school, he’s 18 now, he spent correcting people who called him [name]Alex[/name]
[name]Alex[/name]-Not overly used but common enough to be familiar. I prefer the full name [name]Alexander[/name] instead.
[name]Benjamin[/name]-One of my favorites. Strong, friendly name, especially the shortened [name]Ben[/name].
[name]Jack[/name]-A nickname not a name and an overly used one at that.
[name]Quinn[/name]-[name]Quentin[/name] has a more masculine vibe, this seems more suited to a young girl.
[name]Davis[/name]-[name]Bette[/name]
[name]Oscar[/name]-To many other connections, the Academy Awards, the Grouch, to be viable as a boys name at least for the present.
[name]Felix[/name]- Cool, hip and rising in popularity with just enough difference to stand out without being odd.
